This thread is awesome. Thanks for the laughs artes1 (whoever you are!).

These are the new leads. These are the Glengarry leads. And to you they're gold. And you don't get them. Why? Because to give them to you is just throwing them away. They're for closers.

I meant no disrespect with my comment. I’m still interested in the card if you’re unable to get what you’d like to for the card. Otherwise, I’ll have to chalk this one up to the second Puckett card that’s been out of my league then, just behind his 1996 Select Certified Mirror Gold. I suppose you win some and you lose some...

Never give up! I have 3 ideas to get you that card.

1. You could start a Gofundme. If everyone chipped in maybe we could hit that 50k threshold to buy the card.
2. Get the base version of the card and put some sticky sht on it. Eventually it will rip off and look exactly the same.
3. Negotiation! Bernie Mac style!! Drive the price in half down to 25k.

Dude these are way above 1996 Mirror Golds. There are 30 of those ugly pieces of crap. These artistically beautiful cards could be true 1/1s!

In all seriousness, a “SUPER RARE 1985 FLEER KIRBY PUCKETT ROOKIE 1 OF 1 I'VE EVER SEEN ERROR MISPRINT” ended on eBay and can be searched for in completed auctions right now using that title. It sold for $2.25 and had a less noticeable white line than the ones you have available, but white line all the same and on a Puckett rookie card nonetheless... the seller has it relisted again for $25. Interesting that they sold a 1/1 for $2.25 and have another listed for $25, but that’s maybe for another topic. All I’m saying is a white line Puckett rookie sold for $2.25 in a standard auction and is again listed for $25 BIN, that won’t sell at that price. $3-$5 is completely reasonable and very fair...

Oh and for the record, I’d rather start a gofundme for Puckett’s stupid hideously ugly 1996 Select Certified Mirror gold card btw... I’m completely open to that idea if someone wants to get the ball rolling for me, please and thank you!

When this gems in this amazing box start getting the attention from the right people, you may change your minds. But most realize some players play fair, others play dirty. I believe Ty Cobb played the latter, but I see fans worshipping his card for some reason

Is the Puckett available for sale? If so, I’m interested.

Although I’m not opposed to early purchase interests, I doubt, owing to your early price quotes on Alomar, that you will be interested in the price deserving of the Puckett cards. But you can enjoy the photo.

You know what you want more than a Mirror Gold?? Yes, that's right, a 1988 Fleer "rare error" Puckett. I am working on one now. (y) Perhaps you can't afford it, but at least it could be your desktop background when finished. I am busting out the Elmers glue for that authentic "error" look and some tweezers for the "precision etching technology" well known in the error world.

So lets do 2 Gofundme for him guys!

Sorry, these cards are out of your league.

I don't even know what to think about that remark. Given what we know so far, I don't think those offers were all that unusual and are certainly reasonable in my opinion. The checklists are maybe a quarter card on a good day? 10X-20X it's market value seems pretty good. Even the NNOF was probably a $5 card at one point. A simple no thanks is all that would be needed. I can appreciate you wanting to throw back some sarcasm, given your experience so far though.

I think we've established that these may be new discoveries (no one yet, at least, has chimed in to say they have seem this defect before in this set), but I don't believe it was confirmed by anyone that these oddities might have a value anywhere close to "out of your league" above what the offers were, other than in your own head? You clearly think these are the the next NNOF or Marlboro cards in the making, despite what most of us crusty old timers seem to think.

So what is your true motive for posting this? Fishing for a possible buyer who agrees that these are worth a fortune? Helping the community learn about a possible new error? Trying to get information from the community that you don't already know? Something else I am not seeing? I am trying not to pile on, but in my experience, when someone comes to a site and is only dedicated to a single thread (their own), they usually tend to disappear quickly. If you are here to stay, share, learn and contribute, then by all means welcome and good luck. Maybe read and comment on a few other topics as well. If you are just here to plug your cards, find a buyer and disappear, then you might be wasting your time with this crowd.

As said in so many words, these are not for you. They are for serious collectors that are passionate enough about a player, team, etc., to pay the deserved prices that dignify the hobby, which is not just about trying to get collectibles of this rarity for nothing. I can’t figure out why you failed to get these lesser cards at the so-called price they were sold for. Realize, you can sell things for whatever price you want. Just takes the right buyer. I suggest members look at a site called PSA to see records being broke on the auction block constantly.

I posted my pics as a revelation to the world about these beautiful errors that so far I have yet to see a similarly beautiful sequential errors, especially not in this 1994 UD Collector’s Choice box. The 1990 “Blackless” cards that recently hit the news (again) in my opinion are aesthetically boring and unappealing. I am convinced that no one on this site, despite their apparent knowledge, will end up owning these cards ( and selling them here is not my intention to share them) however, I’m sure somebody on this site has errors worth exhibiting other than the boring ones like 1990 Donruss.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as we have heard time and time again. So something likely got on/in the printing process for trading cards and eliminated parts of the black ink (90 blackless) or all of it (82 Blackless) and those are boring to you. Same thing likely happened here, but appears to have washed out all the ink, leaving a plain white void and this is now beautifully artistic to you. That is fine. Some people also see art in those white canvas paint splatter jobs that a 2 year old could make just as easily.

I have a blue bordered 1971 Topps Steve Garvey with full back. Is that too boring? It doesn't have the curves or angles of a multi-colored display, but it is still a stark contrast to the final product. Looks like this, but Garvey instead. The seller of this card wants $3200 for this and his is blank-backed! I got a screaming deal for my card if this one is worth $3200.

Yeah, man thanks. I was truly not trying to be rude or offend you in any way with my offers or posts. At the end of the day they were fair and reasonable offers for these sorts of cards.

I’ve been collecting Puckett cards for 33 years. He’s the only player I’ve collected in any sport. I’d say that was pretty serious. But, you’re right, these cards aren’t for me.

All the best and good luck shooting for the moon.

...Now about that gofundme page for a Puckett mirror gold... 🤪

You have won me over as a fan like a redemption card. You got me in a joking mode.

I’m hoping @cjedmonton will run one of his fantastic contests regarding what the difference is between what the OP thinks the card is worth and what K34PuckettAddict thinks it is worth. I’m sure the difference will be enormous.

Hey, I’m always down for a wacky contest, but I’m simply out of my depth here.

Good luck to the OP, though!
