NFL.Com Reporting Vick Campaigning for Plax to Coach Reid

Nfl.com is reporting that "Eagles QB Michael Vick is reported to be politicking head coach Andy Reid hard for the team to add WR Plaxico Burress."

Okay, we all kind of knew this was going to happen, sure. Here's why I'm bringing this up though...Isn't this "illegal"? With the lockout, coaches and players are to have no contact relating to football. Sure, Vick could talk to Plax all he wants, but it is against the ban installed by the NFL on its coaches/owners, and should result in some kind of penalty, right?

And on a side note, Plax would be re-united with former Giants teammate Sinorice Moss. Oh yeah, I just found a way to work one of my guys in there.

All the Philly media had some fun with this when it first hit, especially since Plax wore a Phils' hat on Release day.

But I highly doubt it will happen, and mostly 'cuz they don't need any WRs.

Plus, the Iggles still have a strained relationship with Rosenhaus...

Someone can get messages to another without actually talking to them, especially a team leader like Vick. All he has to do is tweet a couple messages proclaiming he wants Plaxico, the media will get ahold of it, then word will spread to the coach. Have you ever heard a story from a friend about another friend without actually hearing it from the original friend. It takes a middle man, and the media is perfect for that.

My understanding is that the players are not given access to the team facilities or management. Anything else is fair game and can not be regulated by the NFL owners including player workouts/camps and inter-player communications but I could be wrong.
