yes. Is there a minor league affiliate of the angels in close proximity to anaheim? It seems that the possibility of another big leaguer being involved is minimal, but it could also be someone in the clubhouse or another employee.

Rancho Quakes area about 45-1 hour from Angel Stadium. They're the Angels A Affiliate.

I don't think we should be speculating on who else died in the wreck. It will come out once the families have been notified.

Horrible news. I hope the driver of the minivan gets his just desserts even if the justice system doesn't treat this as a murder. It's murder when you get behind the wheel of a minivan drunk.

Man its bad enough that Adenhardt lost his life but just imagine if Vlad or Tori were riding with him!!!! My prayers go out to him and his family..

Very sad news. Doubly so because reports sound like the other driver was drunk.

Grab a cab, sleep on a floor, or pass out in your back seat. Don't drive drunk. All the times nothing happens won't make up for the one time something does happen.

Doesn't matter who was in the car, needless death is needless death whether they make millions a year or not.

One of the toughest days of my life was when I worked for a Judge and we had a sentencing for a Criminal Vehicular Homicide. The Defendant was a veteran recently returned from Iraq who was suffering from PTSD, and because the VA wasn't helping him he was self medicating with alcohol. He knocked a concrete median into a car driven by an 18 year old girl.

As a part of the sentencing family members of the victim spoke for about two hours total. Everyone in the courtroom, including the Defendant and his attorney, were sobbing, but as a representative of the court I had to keep an even keel. It was horrible.

Even though I don't drink, so drinking and driving is an impossibility for me, that day and the pain in that courtroom will always remain with me when I hear stories like this.

One of the founders of TapOut. He was killed by a drunk driver a few weeks ago.

To add to this...

Charles "Mask" Lewis Jr. was one of the originators of TAPOUT and a legend/pioneer in the MMA world. He was killed by a drunk driver after he left a photo shoot with his girlfriend.

The driver was an already convicted drunk driver, and he hit them so hard the car of Mask split in two pieces.

I don't understand what it is with people in FL and CA, but people seem to get killed at an alarming rate on the roads. So sad.

At least in California people have to drive a LOT more than they do other places. More driving = more risk.

Looks like the same situation as Dante Stallworth. He was charged with DUI manslaughter, and it would make sense if this guy was charged with the same. It will be interesting to see how the outcomes differ with one being an NFL star and one just being a "regular" person
