I won't be going to Serramonte, but hoping there is a big show upcoming.

Do you know of any big show coming up or just hoping for one?

Tristar and GT Sports Marketing are both in February.

Yea I saw those, but figured those are months away, so I figure I will give this show a try and hope to pick up a couple boxes if anything.

I am quiet skeptical about this show. It says that there are 90 tables, but looks like it is in a mall :? . I'll let ya guys know Saturday night if it's worth if for whoever is contemplating going.

I've been before, its generally not bad but many of the 90 tables are beanie babies and other junk. I'll be there after my 8am practice so perhaps I'll see you wandering.

I am really disappointed they didn't have the Labor Day Weekend Show. I'll miss the ones in Feb too, because I will be deployed.

Re: Bay Area, CA Card Shows

Show wasn't anything special. A lot of toys and other nonsense. I did sell two Lincecum base autos and a PSA base auto for $275, also moved a Waldis Joaquin X, Bumgarner Ref and Fautino X for $35.

Only pickup was a Pedro Baez Gold Ref for $15.

Saw the James Augustine (Basketball) Auto Superfractor for sale, seller wanted $25 but Augustine is out of the league so I passed.

Highlight of the day was a dealer offering me $50 for my whole box of cards which includes among about 200 autos 6 kershaws, longoria x and three base autos, four david price autos and countless other high end.

So all in all it sounds like from Wesman that it was nothing special. Glad I decided not to drive an hour, and passed. Nice job selling and the 1 buy you had.

Good meeting you too, I thought about mentioning the site but I figured I would email you.
Any other pickups today?

Yeah there wasn't much in the way of selection as far as items for sale. Only one guy had a decent selection of prospects and it was all way overpriced.

Nothing much else, there wasn't a lot of variety like you said. I bought a 1941 playball Mel Ott, as I think you saw, and a Chris Huseby X for 3 dollars. Never heard of him, but he's young, so I figured why not. Two boxes of Bowman Draft yielded a Tim Alderson base auto , a Michael Main X auto, a Dustin Biell X, an Andrew Lambo refractor, and an Eric Eiland refractor. Also had base chromes of Moustakas, Price, and Parker, so not too bad overall.

Very cool on the autos, I thought about picking up the rest of his boxes but decided I didn't have the time to break and sort.

I was surprised there was no interest in my Price 9.5's or autos but I guess the show was very slow and dealers were pretty thrifty.

Yeah, would have liked to sell some more but as usual too many vintage and beanie babies guys and not enough prospects.
The Baez has a CV of $50 or so though so I was pleased with that pickup.

Yeah, there was a lot of traffic though. The next show is in Hayward, I put up details on the first post of this thread. I will 99.9% be going to that since its so close to my school. Hope to see you there.
