I think we can all agree that this is only a thread-worthy incident because Morgan was involved. This was a pretty run-of-the-mill altercation and probably wouldn't have gotten noticed if it weren't Morgan and the Cards. Seemed like simple jaw-jacking. Morgan shouldn't have taken a step toward the infield even if he was baited. I also think this was frustration after a helluva AB that Nyjer lost.

I was surprised how fast Pujols got there. I'd swear the loudest initial outburst came from his direction; which is really out of character for big A.

I freely admit that T-Plush's "**** talking" via Twitter at Pujols was pretty weak.

I don't think so, but I think one of the previous posters is right. It seems like a defense mechanism for being moved so early in his career already, and his average play. He didn't have that problem in Pittsburgh.

He wasn't being noticed with the Pirates. Nobody was. But now he's on a good team and they're in the spotlight this season, and I guess he's decided to take advantage of the situation and get his name out there for better or worse.

I mean when you have the alter ego that is fine but when you start becoming a distraction to your team acting like he is some thug by day baseball player by night guy it becomes too much. He is just not worth having on a team, is he good yes but if you have a player who has been as problematic as a Nyjer Morgan and I am not even talking about with just the Brewers with every team this has been the trend. He thinks he is the best on the team so he thinks he can have the huge egos, but he is not even top 5 best Brewers players this year. He needs to stop talking and just enjoy the playoffs the only time he will go in his carrer. I say that because this guy is about as sane as Carlos Zambrano; WHo in the hell talks about themself in the third person. I am not saying this because I am a Cardinals fan, I would say this for any player who acts as such. Baseball at that level is not supposed to be fun, it is a business. Those owners care about what Nyger Morgan about as much as the CEO of McDonalds cares about a cashier worker, Not very much. If he continues to act like this he will probably not have a job because his head would'nt even fit in an 8 3/4 hat right now. Just because your team is in first place it does not give you the right to act like a tool, act like a professional set a good example for kids not this Tony Plush bush league bull shat.

Yea it should be fun to a point but when you are playing at that high of a level it should be competitive. It drives me crazy when a team is down by 3 runs and the first baseman and the guy on first are cracking up laughing. If I was the pitcher/manager/owner I would be pissed off by that. Those guys are making a ton of money. Baseball is a business as much as you don't want to believe it.

i watched the game beginning to end. when carpenter got the 3rd strike he did one of those like arms crossed at the breast pumps with a *bark* type outburst. and you know that morgan saw it and it pissed him off. morgan not only said fu but he also called carp a p***y lol
i think carps reaction to the 3rd strike was a lil too animated but morgan took it too far. it doesnt matter, the brewers will be playing post season and we'll be golfing (well, i wont be).

You are a fine example of an internet white knight my friend. Calling other people tough guys, telling me to spend time with my family, while you yourself are spending time on the boards, away from your family.

I have no hopes my internet pals will "fawn all over me for being so cool", because they fawn over me regardless of how witty my quips are. They also take relatively little energy, so I have no worries of putting all my energy into coming up with them.

I do not consider 16 year olds to be kids, but to each their own. I do have a 3 year old who is developing just fine though and he thinks I am cool because I can hit a baseball real far, I can reach higher places than he can and I can kick a soccer ball very high.
