Very Happy with Brewers selection of Nick Ramirez, would've loved Noe Ramirez as well. Damnit Theo.

Does anyone have a link to a phone-friendly, non-java, html-lite website for all the results so far? I'm trying to track this on my work phone, and it's impossible.

No twitter either please.

Or someone could just pm mt the Brewers picks so far :)

Thanks JP, but that flash doesn't work on my work phone.

Oh well, I'll check at the end of the day.

If Andrew Susac is available when the M's pick again, I really hope they take him and pay him to get the deal done.

No you dont. My guaranteed bust of the draft. He has to catch his bat is awful awful

Really? How often have you seen him to say this? Also if you've seen him is it before or after he worked with hitting coach last summer?

Nice pick for the Nats with Matt Skole.

He came around a lot last season, he had a horrifically bad year in 2009 on Cape. But last season he was a dependable hitter that drove a lot of runs in.

Absolutely. The Nationals are having a very nice draft overall. If they can sign Purke, look out.

Anyone know if the Riccio Torrez the Rays picked is the Arizona St. guy?? It lists his school as a College Prep school in Arizona on the Draft Database, but they play the same position. Same name, same position, same state, I'm assuming its the same guy, can anyone confirm this?

Arizona got Bauer, Bradley, Meo, and Chafin. Best rotation drafted so far?

Klaw (2:17 PM)
I do love that group. They have to be going berserk in that draft room.

Thank you sir. I'm going to assume the same. I was surprised Maronde went as high as he did, only a Soph so plenty of leverage to go back to UF. Plus they used him exclusively in relief this year, but that may be because of their ridiculous pitching depth.

He is a Junior. He was as consistant as anyone last summer for us.

St. Louis (Cardinals)
Looks like we picked the Wong week to quit reading Keith Law.

Klaw (2:21 PM)
Good thing the Dodgers didn't take him or we'd have woken up to "White is Wong" headlines.

Super happy with this, he's a great kid. He only slightly hurt his oblique the other day. I talked to him last night, he says he is fine. Just needs a little rest.

Not trying to hate on your friend from the cape beefy. But the guys has an impenetrable obstacle to the bigs. He has no athleticism or contact skill with bat

In my opinion 99% of people are completely ignorant on the major league draft. There isn't even a fraction of the coverage that the other sports get going into the draft. We know the top prospects that Baseball America raves about, and we will even see a star dominant the college baseball world a few times on TV, but it is nothing like football were college football runs Saturdays or March Madness where the whole world tunes in. As a matter of fact if you look back to last years thread you will see people saying picks are awful or bad to players that are now highly regarded in the minor leagues. Its a science that none of us can predict and our level of speculation is very low compared to any other sport. Shoot we can't even get it right who will be the star once they are in the minor leagues. There are so many players and each of them have such a long road to eventual stardom in the bigleagues that any negative speculation today is almost silly. Obviously its understandable to not understand what a specific club is doing with a pick, but really none of us know what we are talking about. These scouts actually go watch these kids play dozens of times, meet them, meet their families; we could be sitting here wondering why a player is dropping while the smart executives and scouts never even had the player as we did in our minds. Its not like the other sports where combine reports and character evaluation are leaked everywhere, its a crapshoot, which gives players from all rounds of the draft an opportunity to be a star unlike any other sport.
