I buy these boxes because of the history, it's really interesting to look up some of their stories(I got a cut of Daniel Inouye he's a Hawaiian Senator now but in WWII he earned the Medal of Honor when he took out two German bunkers and when about to throw a grenade his arm was shot off and he pried the live grenade from his shot off arm on the ground and threw it in the bunker and was shot again! Also another cut of Ken Hippe who on Oct. 24, '44 shot down 12 Japanese Lily bombers in less than 10 minutes after he had snuck up behind their squad..they were unprotected by fighters). Of course there are the really evil guys too, like ******, Goebbels, Himmler, Saddam, Mussolini etc. in the set too. They don't need looking up what they did. I plan on getting more.

Do u know if there is a case or a master case hit in these horrors of war? I would really like to know, I am going to get some, I am wondering if it is worth the extra cash to get the 40 count master case, instead of the 10 count case? LMK, thanks

No case hits at all. Every 40 box master case has a complete set, Since only 40 master cases made, only 40 sets to be built total and all the base cards are numbered the same from the 4 inner ten box cases, like 21/40 then all the base cards in that case will be 21/40 but the cuts are completely random, 1600 total. My friend pulled 1598/1600, German fighter ace Willy Unger. I wonder who 1/1600 is. My LCS got a 10 box case the day it was released, I opened 7. I now get mine from two ebay sellers, one from N.C., and one from Canada. Blowout has them too.

I know the post above this one detailed it pretty well, but there is 1 "chase" card in the product and that is the ****** cut.

If I am correct, these were fashioned after some set with the same name in like the 40s-50s.

You would have to be familiar with the original set to appreciate the artwork.The original was ground breaking at the time of release and had parents complaining about the graphic scenes of war depicted on the cards.
