2024 topps Diamond icons numbered 3/5. Trying very hard to get them year by year when they come out but being /5 makes it very challenging.

2008 Topps Sharp Aquos Mariano Rivera Autograph -- A regional promotion card for an appliance store, given out during a Rivera signing probably over one day or a weekend. Not many copies around, this was looooong time need for my Yankees flagship Topps run, I'll take it even with a rushed autograph! Waited well over a decade for one to surface.

Topps has created a bazillion parallels these past few years...NewEra, Utz, Fanfest, Holiday, Opening Day, UK, Japan, ASG amongst others. Most of these feature the same photograph with different stamping/foiling. I've shyed away from these, even the Golden Mirror SSP are no longer considered variations but parallels.

However, I am always interested in these regional giveaways. These are my favorite kinds of cards to hunt down... I have a two of Bernie Williams for his Breathless Blowout IPF awareness from 2018 and 2019. Others are from Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation giveaways.

I've picked up the 1970s Burger King cards, but next to find are the 1970s O-Pee-Chee Yankees variations which differ from Topps base cards...this is my working list.

1977 Dock Ellis, Graig Nettles, Mickey Rivers, Marty Perez, Don Gullett
1985 Rickey Henderson OPC

Even 90s cards like the Babe Ruth movie promo set with Pete Rose as Ty Cobb.

I should probably have started a new thread, but with the collective knowledge on these forums, I am interested in learning about other such promo cards with the flagship design which others may have come across, especially of Yankees.

I read back on your prior post on the IPF giveaway and stuff- strangely I slabbed my own variation during Covid. It's been in my store for a while with some proceeds being donated to his foundation. Strangely only the hardcore team collectors and rare insert guys like me take an interest in these tougher to find giveaways. Think its a generational thing

Vacation had a pile of mail waiting for me when i got back last night. Probably do the Dodger stuff tomorrow. Still tired. Vacations now days, you need a vacation to recover! Hit three 20K plus step days, one in NYC, one in Boston and one in Halifax. The "slow" days were 10-15K steps.

Will start off with the basketball autos. Trying to land most of the top career scoring leaders and thankfully had a lot of the older players already. The "new" guys were killing me and several will remain out of the collection due to cost.

I like these early/special types of signed cards, although they also tend to be more affordable, especially now that Sayers has died.

A few baseball, nothing huge here.

Chris Paul & Pau Gasol. I don't love a lot of the new card designs. I try to find the cheapest auto I can get, while still have a semi decent design. Sometimes I do better than other times. Some it doesn't matter, even the worst auto is going to cost more than I will pay (James, Curry, Jordan etc).
