I don't see him getting picked up by Arizona in free agency. We'll see though.

I can see San Diego pursuing him, definitely.

Chargers have to pick up at least ONE big free agent, or else they're falling into rebuilding mode.

As expected, the Cowboys have extended the highest possible restricted free agency tender to receiver Miles Austin, per Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News.

The move is aimed at keeping Austin from leaving, by pegging the compensation at a first-round pick and a third-round pick. Austin will earn $3.168 million, if/when he accepts the tender.

"How many times have [you] seen another team give up a one and a three?" Cowboys exec Stephen Jones recently said, overlooking the fact that the Cowboys gave up a one, a three, and more for receiver Roy Williams.

It sounds like safety Ryan Clark finally got a contract offer, but it wasn't what he hoped for.

Clark and the Steelers failed to come to a contract agreement Thursday, meaning he'll hit unrestricted free agency. Pittsburgh identified three offseason priorities, and Clark is the only one that could still leave town.

Casey Hampton signed a long-term deal, and kicker Jeff Reed is the team's franchise player. Clark will enter a safety market that could be inflated by Antrel Rolle's deal. Roy Williams, last with the Bengals, is also available.

Don't expect the best cornerback on the free agent market to stay there for long.

NFL Network's Steve Wyche said Thursday night on NFL Total Access that "All indications are that [Dunta Robinson] will end up with the Falcons."

Wyche cautioned that "nothing is official" because, well, that's not allowed. But it sure sounded like a done deal. The Falcons front office has reportedly admired Robinson for years, and was hoping this day would come.

Atlanta already added Brian Williams to it's secondary Thursday, but still is thin at cornerback.

A league source has confirmed that the Bears are indeed chasing Rolle. We're also told that the Giants and Dolphins are pursuing Rolle, and that the Cardinals still hope to get him bac

BIG NEWS!!

The New York Jets' "extreme interest" in Antonio Cromartie should be consummated soon.

Fox's Jay Glazer reports that New York is on the verge of a trade that would send a second or third-round pick in 2011 to the Chargers for the troubled Chargers wideout.

(And in the time it took to write this, ESPN's Adam Schefter says it's a done deal. A 2011 third-round pick could turn into a second-round pick.)

Rex Ryan undoubtedly loves Cromartie's physical skills, but he'll have to teach him how to cover consistently. He'll get plenty of targets playing opposite Revis Island.
