Tell me again why Pitt got the 4th #1 seed.

Hey, they won the regular season title in the toughest Conference in America. There wasn't a better suited team than them.

This was more about Butler's unreal ability to beat higher seeds. Last year, they beat all the top seeds in their bracket and could do it again. Unreal!

Jamie Dixon is a turrrrible coach

as Barkley would say. His game management skills leave nothing to be desired. If I were a Pitt fan I would be wondering why your team consistently underachieves. Butler was clearly wrongly seeded as was Richmond but that's part of the tourney charm.

Or 8 apple pies. I hear they're interchangable.

BTW, Pullen is on fire again for K-State. Go 'Cats! I'd love to see them and Butler go at it again.

DISCLAIMER: I have KSU in my Final 4. 8-)

Yeah, what a goofball. I mean, Matt Howard is kinda goofy, but Bruesewitz is way worse. Hopefully, Butler gets 'em.

Anybody else see Coach Frank yelling constantly at Spralding in the next Timeout for not rubbing off Taylor with his screen? That gave them better D on Pullen instead of the mismatch against the big guy...

and BOOM! went my Bracket with that one.

WOW.... did u see the pathetic end at the Cincy-UConn game?

Dude from Cincy missed 2 point blank shots right under the basket... he wasnt even being guarded since the game was about over and UConn players werent going to foul him... he went up for on shot and missed... got the rebound... went up for a dunk and hit the back of the rim and the ball bounced to half court. He should just quit.

My Zags were disappointing tonight. Held Jimmer scoreless the first 10 minutes, and then he went off. The officiating in both of the Zags games was very questionable. If you lay a finger on Jimmer, it's a foul, but when Sacre or Harris have 3 smaller guys hacking their arms it's not? BYU had probably their best shooting night of the season tonight. Props to them.

I was pleased to see one my alma maters (Boston University) stay with #1 Kansas for the first half. (...just getting to the dance is a big thing for the Terriers!)

My other alma mater (Evansville) by virtue of their 15-15 record got a bid to the College Basketball Invitational tourney, which is sponsored by Zebra Pens.

If the Aces can win it (doubtful), they can lay claim to being the 125th best team in America!

NCAA – 68 teams
NIT -32 teams
College Basketball Insider Tournament – 24 teams
College Basketball Invitational – 16 teams

Four college post-seaons tournaments?

Yet another crazy and controversial ending in the Zona v. Texas game. Nothing like a game decided on a questionable 5-second call. Can't say I've ever seen that before.

BYU's awful shot selection at the end of the game and in OT cost them a very good shot at the Final 4...

Butler doing it again, forcing Florida to play its game and keeping the Big men inside in check. Seems alot like the K-State game from last year...

I know this may seem short-sighted since it involves recent events, but IF Butler goes back to the Final 4, IMO it's gotta be considered the biggest accomplishment since the Gators' repeat in 06/07. They've beaten highly seeded teams both years, not just Cinderellas. As a #5 seed and then an #8 seed, they've beaten all types of teams from different Power conferences and that qualifies it as a Historic Event.

'Zona-UConn turning into an Instant Classic too...

My two cents about Butler:

IF Boynton, Walker and Parsons were as good shooting tonite as they think they are none of this would be discussed. I personally was not impressed by Parsons in either of the last two games. SEC PofY? I don't see it...

And Congrats to Butler! As Pat Forde said, what they've done the last two years is historic. To win the region as a #5 or #8 seed is tough enough once, but back-to-back? (check sent, Mr. Riley) Unreal. They've beaten all higher seeds, not fellow Cinderellas. And, with the exception of one game last year, they've haven't played a perfect, "Villanova-G'town" type game.
