Blue Jays To Sign Matt Smoral
By Ben Nicholson-Smith [June 6 at 3:41pm CST]
The Blue Jays have agreed to terms with supplementary first round selection Matt Smoral, Peter Gammons of MLB Network reports (on Twitter). Smoral appeared to have confirmed the news on his personal Twitter account.

The Blue Jays selected the high school left-hander with the 50th overall selection on Monday as compensation for losing reliever Frank Francisco to the Mets. The recommended bonus for the 50th overall selection is $1MM, according to Baseball America.

Ian Gardeck said he has a deal with the Giants signed already and I think next to seeing my own kid drafted seeing Nate Koneski out of Holy Cross go to the Mariners is one of my best draft moments ever.

MLBTR:

The Royals appear to be close to a deal with fifth-overall pick Kyle Zimmer, tweets Bob Dutton of The Kansas City Star. The right-hander will likely start with the club's Arizona League affiliate but may go to Idaho Falls instead.

Sounds like the Jays have already signed several college seniors taken in the first 10 rds. I'm hoping that they can sign Alford. But I'm guessing they want to wrap up some of the early picks.

Braves Agree To Sign Lucas Sims
By Zach Links [June 6, 2012 at 6:46pm CST]
Braves scouting director Tony DeMacio revealed that the club agreed to sign first round pick Lucas Sims, according to Carroll Rogers of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The right-hander from Georgia's Brookwood High School was tabbed with the 21st overall pick. Terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed but the pick has a suggested bonus of $1.825MM.

In addition to Sims, the Braves also reached agreement with their other top five selections. That includes second round pick Alex Wood (left-handed pitcher), third round pick Bryan De La Rosa (catcher), fourth round selection Justin Black (center fielder, already signed), fifth rounder Blake Brown (right fielder), and sixth round pick Josh Elander (catcher).

Brewers To Sign Victor Roache
By Zach Links [June 6, 2012 at 10:16pm CST]
Brewers first-round pick Victor Roache told 1250 WSSP Radio (h/t Jaymes Langrehr of Disciples Of Uecker) that he plans to come to Milwaukee tomorrow to undergo a physical and sign his contract. The Brewers selected the outfielder out of Georgia Southern University with the 28th pick.

"I’m coming into Milwaukee Thursday to get my physical and sign a contract, do the press conference and all that. You know, because of my injury from my college season, it was possible I might get shipped off to Phoenix and then start rehabbing, or I might come back home and find someplace here to rehab. Once I get my hand and wrist back fully 100%, they’re going to ship me off and we’ll start playing," Roache said.

Earlier this evening, Brewers scouting director Bruce Seid told Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel (via Twitter) that the team was "close with a lot of the top guys".

Any other notables (that have USA cards) that were drafted that we missed in this thread?
