The thing that's frustrating is that everyone knows the MLB All-Star game is flawed, with complaints of the fan vote, and manager's loading up with their guys or being petty about past rivalries. Even though everyone knows this, they still use All-Star appearances to judge a player's worth at the end of his career.

If you are not going to change how the All-Star game functions, fine, whatever, it's just an exhibition game; but stop judging careers on it.

I've been hearing rumors that the Reds are in exploratory talks with the Phils for Cole Hamels. No sure what we'd have to give up, but we definitely need a lefthanded starter and Hamels is one of the best around. Sure would love to see him in a Reds uniform!

Love Hamels but still doesn't solve the fact that we desperately need a leadoff hitter and/or a cleanup hitter

Tough break losing Joey for a month or so. Hopefully we can hold our own until he gets back.

I really like the look of the 2012 Tier One product so I picked up a few Reds cards. I ended up with two of the Vottos, one of which I'd be willing to trade. Looking for autos or relics of current Reds players or Billy Hamilton cards. Pm me.

Have fun down in Cincy. If you haven't been in a while you should check out "The Banks" which is right next to the stadium. They have developed that part of downtown and added some really cool restaurants and bars.
