I'll go with 3-1 AL.

But I don't like the "white panel" tribute hats and I still hate the fact that this game decides Home field advantage in the Series. Just a stupid idea that was a typical over-reaction by Bud...

Pissed I missed everything but the AL Starters introductions. Wanted to see what kind of reaction Neshak got.

Great Nike commercial. And Jeter delivers in first at bat. Awkward moment when he was batting and you heard a loud "over rated" from a lone heckler on the FOX broadcast.

Yeah but how great was it on the second overrated chant and Jeter smashes the ball.

Nelson Cruz sent a flechette of broken bat into the crowd for that last out.

Already more runs scored than in the last 10 ASGs probably!

And good to see the Ultimate Professional Ballplayer, Chase Utley, smack a double and score easily...

Pretty cool to see Josh Harrison sitting on top of steps with his Glove on already! Like a little kid waiting for his shot...:D

It has taken me all of two innings to determine that I hate Harold Reynolds in this color commentating role with a seething white hot hate that I can't even describe.

Please come back, Tim McCarver.

Yeah, I mean it. And based on Twitter, I'm not alone.

Reynolds loses all credibility as a color commentator 'cuz he so rarely criticizes anyone and is seen as too player-friendly...

I actually like him in the Studio but it doesn't translate well to game announcing.

It's a good thing the game wasn't in NY this year.

There was heavy flooding rain yesterday and night and same thing today.

Since he's got two of the Cycle down thru 5, and he can play all the OF positions, you have to leave Trout in, don't you?

What a bush league move by Wainwrong.

"I grooved Jeter a couple to hit..."

1. If you wanted to, do it and keep your mouth shut.
2. Sack up and pitch.

Cardinals just don't get it.

too bad it took until the 4th inning for the "2014 All-Popular" game to become the "2014 All-Star" game.

wainwright getting lit up in the 1st inning - bad karma. Kershaw at least kept the AL scoreless and no
hit them, too!

Thank goodness Trout was MVP - would have hated Jeter to win it due to "lifetime achievement".

My thoughts on the game:

It drew attention to a lot of people who deserved it. Great to see Trout light it up, nice to see Kershaw have an easy inning. Awesome that Miggy had a homer As the best hitters and pitcher in baseball all of whom are not as well known to casual fans as they should be, that was great.

I'm surprised Jeter did not win MVP. I think he deserved it more than Mo did last season but Trout was probably still most deserving and it's a dangerous trend to start always giving it to the old guy being honored (although not sure who the next big guy to retire will be...) Great to see him do well in his last AS game. And he was a fun interview in game!

IMO baseball needs to market their stars better. So many of the best players in baseball including those above but also McCutchen, Stanton and others should be players more fans know about and tune into. As an article I saw recently mentioned, we have some great and exciting young players playing today. Players who are fun to watch.

forgot something. Did Joe Buck have a stroke at the end? He wass going all shoutout, pretty unprofessional the type of shoutouts he was giving. It was like "I'm thinking of...." and then the final out of the game and he didn't get to finish the explanation of why he was thinking about someone (whether it be death in the family, hospitalization, etc.). Then he mentions that the field is being set up for the MVP presentation and then wishes someone a happy birthday.

Awfully odd shoutouts considering the typical on-air shoutout during FOX baseball is due to someone in the FOX Sports family being unable to work on the production of the game due to sickness or had a death in the family or someone is retiring and should be honored on-air with a shoutout.
