With Petite out do you guys think the Pirates my move Maholm or Ohlendorf to the Yankees.

I don't want him to go but if we can get a serious prospect I may be good with it

Tim, love the 8x10! Where did you find that image?

As for trading one of our starters...I wouldn't rule it out, but I would think a move would be more likely this offseason or next deadline. Duke seems to be the most likely to go, given his contract status and management having not approached him about a deal. By this time next year, hopefully at least one of the Morris/Owens/Wilson trio will be ready to step into the rotation.

Thanks man. I got the image from Getty and had one of our fellow FCB members (Card Magnet) do some photoshop to it by keeping Pedro in color and making the background black and white. I've seen pics like this of other players in the past and always liked how they looked.

Had a great time at the game but on the way home my radiator in my car was leaking somewhere and it was overheating... ::facepalm:: Pulled over to let it cool... Cop pulls behind me puts on the lights... License and registration... I was good to go :D Overall at the game it was awesome, Duke looked really good out there. I was actually cursing John Russell when he pinch it for Duke in the 7th because he only had 76 pitches after 6 and had only given up 3 hits. Evan Meek looked lost out there and could barely throw strikes. McCutchen was all over the outfield it was awesome. Pedro Alvarez did good on defense but my goodness he couldn't hit anything tonight way too many swings and misses he looked lost up there. I went to batting practice and Ross Ohlendorf gave me a ball, I then took it down to the dugout and got it signed right on the sweetspot by McCutchen! :D Here are some pics for the game. Pics are probably kind of big, but I don't feel like downsizing them. Enjoy!

what a great game for you to go to James. Duke pitched strong and you got to watch McCutchen rule the outfield right in front of you. I knew you would be angry when Russell pinch hit for Duke in the 7th because I sure was. sucks about the radiator hopefully it's a cheap fix.

thanks for the sweet pics and congrats on the Cutch auto as well.

I was in line with the guy selling that at an Alumni signing this year. He said he had been working on it for a few years now, mostly at free signings in the area. It's definitely a unique piece, but it seem kind of busy, and I always prefer blue sharpie to black. I'm curious to see if it actually draws any bids.

it is very busy to say the least Mark. it is a very unique piece and would be a cool item to own. I wonder why he is selling it. if I worked that hard to get 114 autographs I would want to keep it.

He was a younger guy, maybe around 24 or 25. He didn't mention any intentions of selling it when I talked to him in May, but who knows. At that kind of price, he might just be hoping somebody bites on the high price. It's a one of a kind piece, but none of the signatures on there are particularly difficult or rare, though a few of the players on there have died.

Dave, BTW a Wilson Patch off My Back auto ended a couple days ago at $36. I don't know what accounted for the jump, but I'm glad I got mine when I did.

yeah I guess maybe he is just hoping to have someone bite at that price or make an offer.

glad I bought my Patch Off My Back auto when I did too then. thanks again for the heads up :P

Jack has been playing some very solid D in Seattle this season.

I really liked what the Pirates did at the trade deadline. Turning Dotel into an immediate starting pitcher and a fall from grace former stud prospect is a very good return.

I like the pick up of Snyder at catcher. Getting a real catcher until Sanchez is ready will be awesome. I am so over Doumit and his non ability to catch or throw. Also the move gets rid of Crosby and Churce which is addition by subtraction.

Also getting Bowker and Martinez for Lopez is a good deal as well. Martinez could be a starter and Bowker is killing AAA pitching and may be another contender for our crowded OF/1b position.

On a side note I have been disappointed in McCutchen's play in the 2nd half and now he gets hit in the head. This after being hurt last week he seems to be snake bit this year.

Walker however has been better than advertised and Tabata can hit as well.
