I suspect by Monday or Tuesday they will list some specific autograph station info. Will post it here as soon as I see it.

If you click on the TwinsFest 2011 link of the Twins website there is a tweet from someone on there saying that the schedule will be released next Tuesday. I was hoping for it sooner than that but at least I know when it will happen now.

If I remember correctly he signed late last year and ended up taking Killebrew's spot. Him and Carl Pavano aren't on the list but I wouldn't be surprised to see them both on the schedule. I would love for him to be there as I have a ticket stub I need signed by him.

That is correct.
In addition, Thome and Pavano were free agents when the "prelimary list" was released.
It has not been updated.
Next week when the schedule is released, Thome and Pavano will IMO both be on there.

When they release the schedule we should see if Thome and Pavano will indeed be there. That being said there is always an add/subtraction to the players signing the day of. I'd like to get Thome single signed ball myself.

Re: "Official" Twinsfest info and news thread.

So I have a question for you TwinsFest attendees. Last year I believe the dealers that were set up around had OMLB for sale and I think I even grabbed 2 of them for $10 each. I still need to grab about 5-6 of them for this year but I'm not sure if I should just pick them up at Target or wait and see what they have when I get there. I guess my worst fear is that I plan on buying them there and they don't have any, but at the same time I feel like if they do have them maybe I should just wait so I can get a better deal. What would you do?

I've never been to Twinsfest, but your better safe than sorry. Buy them before you get there.

Re: "Official" Twinsfest info and news thread.

There are usually plenty of dealers with OMLBs there, but there are also plenty that have Rawlings balls that are not OMLB. Keep your eyes open! I've seen OMLBs around $12 or so. Mostly that is without a cube--you can find cubes for $1-1.50 if you look long enough.)

I'd be surpised if Thome and Pavano are not there. Thome line should be nuts! I'm glad I got him on a OMLB at the autograph party last summer. I wish Nishioka would be there! I could have him sign this...

Tuesday sounds about right for the release of the tables. I'm not familiar with the Sports Center (is anybody?) so how they have it set up will be an adventure in itself.

IMO, vendors would be foolish to not have autograph type items available (balls, pictures, cards, etc) at an autograph type event.

If you are worried at all, buy ahead of time, if you are not worried, buy at twinsfest.

Last year the Thome Friday night line was nutty nutty fruitcake.
Saturday AM, I purposely got there late as I felt the Thome line would be the same and didnt want to deal with it.
I was told that you could have walked up 15-30 minutes before his time ended and got an auto right away.
Not sure if that will be the case again this year, but I sure the heck am hoping that with the limited tickets to all three days total will make getting some of the guys that tend to have longer lines easier to get.

Yeah. I have stuff for the big guys to sign--pink Mother's Day Bat I could have anyone sign, 8x10's, balls, etc.--but I've been thinking about focusing on the free guys more this year. Everything will depend on the schedule. (for me, at least.)

Same here... I will be short money wise. I doubt I will be able to rack up enough to do any major money graphing.

I lost my Gopher's pocket schedule........ I will have to find something else, yet again for Knudson to sign.

What I might do is buy a mini helmet, and have Hanson and Knudson sign it, and then hold it for Winfield, Steinbach, and Molitor if I ever meet them. I just wanted something specifically Gophers SOOO bad for him to sign (and I don't want it to be an EEE)

I guess I will look tonight.

Then I have to get Thome for someone... and hopefully myself, and then of course Glen Perkins...

Grrr... so much money that it is going to cost... I am going to have to re-think everything when the schedule comes out.

Both will be at Twinsfest.
Steinbach will be at either the multi-player $5 or $10 table
Molitor will probably be $25
So for $30 you can nail them both down

Re: "Official" Twinsfest info and news thread.

My goals:
On 8x10's
Butera
Duensing
Capps
Plouffe
Repko
Valencia

On my 87/91 World Series Ball
Hrbek
Newman
Blyleven - maybe depending on his cost this year

For the minor leaguers
Hicks
Gibson
Parm
Gutierrez
Tosoni

And then for Cuddy
I have a GU ball from Target Field that he used to get a hit and RBI, so maybe that
I have a batting practice hat, so maybe that
I have a Target Field 8x10 photo of Cuddy that I will have signed
Or I have this that I might have him sign

Yeah. I will have to see...

I plan on for sure picking up a Perk GU jersey at the Pro Shop, going through the card show, maybe sit and listen to the radio for a bit (not going to bother graphing there).

For sure autographs:

Kyle Gibson
Nate Hanson
Glen Perkins
Hopefully Jim Thome. Can you buy 2 at once? If not that's fine, I will have someone with me.

Re: "Official" Twinsfest info and news thread.

Here is my Minnesota Born Twins (with two exceptions) Project. I'll be adding Tom Kelly and Terry Steinbach this year, then all the easy Twinsfest autos are done.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lDB6JcE ... rofilepage

I do have a question, should I try to get TK to sign under "Big Stick" on the bat, I see that as sort of the sweet spot area, or should I just let them sign where they want as I have been doing. I want to keep prime real estate for Winfield as well. Any suggestions as far as locations?

Tweet from Cuddy in regards to Thome

mcuddy5 Michael Cuddyer
Just friday i believe.RT @Mixfiller: @mcuddy5 Hey Cuddy do you know if Thome is gonna be at Twinsfest?

I have in the past asked for two autos from a player if the line is short, with Thome, that may be difficult.
You could always try and walk thru twice if that doesnt work.

As for your Perkins GU, just so you know, there is no guarantee that there will be one at Twinsfest.
With the way Perkins is a jerk, wouldnt surprise me if they dont have anything of his, but GL if they do.

Re: "Official" Twinsfest info and news thread.

Venue Map is up on Twinsfest webpage.

http://minnesota.twins.mlb.com/min/down ... ue_map.pdf

Since I have never been to this place, as I'm sure most Twinsfest attenders haven't either, there could be a certain level of chaos with this event, and getting from autograph corner 3 & 4 (probably the big guns--Mauer, Carew, Bert, Thome, Morne--never mind) down to the lower level. But it can't be as bad as doing the steps from stadium floor to the concourse in the Metrodome!

Here's the map for the Sports Center campus.

http://www.nscsports.org/pdf/06_Fields%20only.pdf

Schwan Center (location of Autograph corner 3 & 4) is separated from the Sports Hall (where everything else is) by a walkway. Could help with line traffic by having the big names at that place, away from everyone else. We'll see.

Still no specific table info posted yet. Stay tuned!
