But on the flipside without the inscription on it how would anyone know (outside of Greg) know it's from his MLB debut?
TwinGnats said:
I wouldn't want that inscription on the ticket anyways because it's redundant. The ticked is already from his M.L. Debut so there is no reason to put it on there again. It's like when people get those All-Star or HOF balls and have the player inscribe it with "All Star" or "HOF"...why?

Interesting that he didn't sign that for you. I was actually at that game and asked him the same thing today and he did inscribe it for me, as well as his 1st MLB hit for my girlfriend. I will post all of my scans hopefully tomorrow night. So far I have gotten everybody that I planned on getting except for Thome on Day 1. The only one that I'm thinking of maybe doing tomorrow is Delmon/Valencia.

Oh Greg you can guarantee that will be part of my recap post and the ticket might be part of a new sig :D

I'm not saying you can't do it if that's what you like to do, I just wouldn't want to pander to the lowest common denominator.

For example, if you have your ticket displayed, someone with a reasonable amount of knowleged would look at the date and say, "that's from his first game isn't it?". If they don't know you can always tell them and it would lead to a good coversation about it. I just don't know why you would have a ball that says All Star Game 2006 and then ask a guy to inscribe it "AS 2006".

Maybe it's just me and everyone prefers to have everything spelled out to them step by step.

Well, if any of you saw Dawn Mitchell's interview, my friend was there getting his bat signed by Jim Kaat.

It was cool to see him on TV! I was there, but not on camera (phew!)

Here is my Allen and Ginter collection, having 8x10s of these guys already, I went with the A&G's
IMG_0015.jpg

Here are a few other cards I got signed
IMG_0016.jpg

Here is my Cuddy game used RBI hit ball from 8/31/10 against the Tigers, a game I just happened to be at, picked the ball up off of MLB.com and had Cuddy sign it
IMG_0017.jpg

Final item, I picked this up at a booth at the show, Cuddy had done a private signing a couple days prior, he siged 3 gloves from 2009, including one used in game 163 (wish I had 6 large to drop), some shoes and batting gloves. I have never seen a MLB debut ticket of Cuddy, let alone a full stub, love the sig, love the inscription!!!

Overall a very successful Twinsfest

:o  :o  :o

I found the Perk jerseys! I picked one up

...and set it back down again

Glad to see you got Cuddy. I was going to head over to get my helmet signed by him (on the brim would look awesome) but I wasn't able too thanks to Gibson and following events, I figured the line would be insane as well. I will get him one of these days.

Just a little fyi, Cuddyer is a good ttm signer. I was able to get him ttm during this past season. One of the nicest sigs around too.

Did anyone notice the large stacks of Feller signed items at his table? Wow...

I was actually by Feller's table when Oliva was there looking at stuff, and I had my helmet out (I wasn't going to ask him to sign it) and I was standing there and I was staring into space (I think I was waiting for my friend somewhere) and the security guard told me that he wasn't going to sign until 6 so don't ask     (TF ended at 6)

I kept an eye out for Hellboy at Feller's table, but I either didn't see him, or I couldn't make out who he was. Oh well.

TY for the info!

I try to stay away from TTMing Twins, but I will send one to Cuddy just in case I don't see him.

That is a cool card, what year Goudy is that?

Excellent stuff as always, Chris! Burnet's is a great photo. How many 8x10s do you have altogether? Wish I could have gone back for one more day--heck, if I could, I'd go all three days just to hang around! Didn't have the time to look through dealer's tables and $1 boxes as much as I would have liked to. Was there ever anyone different signing at the Fergusen Jenkins booth? I have Fergie, Fingers and Niekro already, and I should have gotten Mudcat. (Would like to see some new faces, Fergie!) Thanks to everyone for all their reports, scans and pics!

I missed out on Hellboy, Kaat, Fingers, Niekro, Fergie, and who ever else those 2 tables had.

I need Fergie and Mudcat on an OMLB, because they were selling synthetic leather baseballs, and both are really faded... (bought one of each from the table 2 years ago).

Anyone notice the price drop in OMLBs at TF? They were 13 instead of 15. Not a big change, but it was nice to save that $2 for the chocolate shake I had a White Castle afterwords.

Nah, make it its own thread. I personally like hearing about all the teams fests, how they do it, one day or a whole weekend, who shows up, etc. And especially seeing scans and pics of autographs! Maybe others will join in with their own pics. If its hidden in here, they won't find it.

TBT, I get my balls from Tom in Mounds View, he had them for $12 the week before the show. Though I don't know how far away you are from the north metro.
