Should I have bought this Frank Thomas? It got hit pretty quick, but I saw it as soon as it got up. Anyone know what they pull?

I couldn't hit that button quick enough. Been looking since they came out.

Very nice Cobra!! Congrats. Great price on it.

hofautos: Yeah, that is probably one of, if not THE hardest to find duals in the set (other than the redemptions). And I agree, probably the best looking overall card. The colors and autos are incredible.

Ok I haven't displayed a cut set in a while so here goes :D

Signs of October Cut set
SignsofOctoberSet.jpg

The good news is there are 5 of the Jeter/Joe D, and 4 of the Mantle/Snider. The others are /1, and as you can see the quad has been pulled. I love love the Pirates and Cardinals themed cards. Very cool.

...just makes me think of the many duals they could have made- Maz/Kiner, Snider/Mays.....and on and on........

When's your next Ult Sig break scheduled?

many, many, many, many.... and I'm sure many revolve around more Red Sox debacles (sp?) :)

Case will be in hand tomorrow afternoon... could be a Thursday night break again? Who knows ;)

....they did not have to be debacles in 2005........many great Signs of October pairings from 2004 post-season they could've come up with (I'm guessing the product was basically done in late 2004 though). I'm sure the non-Sox fans have no interest in this though...... ;)

Wide.. what would you estimate as the total # of cases produced and what do you think the print run is on each base card.

Here are the stats as they break down (estimated guesses!):

Total cards produced: 131,871 cards (+/- 1,000 or so: I do not know specific PR's for Decades Tiers 1-3)

@ 3 cards/tin: 43,957 tins packed out

@ 20 tins/case: 2,198 cases

The print run on each base card is stamped /825.

Ah, I didn't know base were serial #. Only card I own so far is a Kell auto from this product. I was checking stuff in latest Beckett. They have a price on Ryan Howard auto, but I think in your blog info you have his cards as never being signed? I take it Beckett doesn't know he didn't sign his cards.

I've informed them that they need to update their price guides with several changes... cards not produced, price updates, etc. To no avail. :( To be honest, I've NEVER had anyone from Beckett email me back. Do people work there?? I'm beginning to think not ;)

Wide any news on when your guys case break is going down at?

What a difference a poorly listed ebay auction does for Yogi/Donnie Baseball dual graph. If you open the auction it's about a Yaz card. This one ended this morning and sold for just a little more than half of the one last night.

Not sure on when the break will happen... just waiting for it to actually get here. If the moon and stars align just right, it could happen tonight! ;)

Yeah pretty crazy about the dual last night and this one. I'm sure if it had been listed properly it might have made a difference but who knows. But even still it hit just under the average which is around 70.

Are you interested in getting into a case break? If so, lmk and I will add you to the next one. I've already got a list going. :)

How's the weather holding up Dave? You mentioned this morning that there could be tornados. Hopefully that doesn't happen.

*EDIT* I'm not trying to sweat you about the case break at all. I've been through tornados before and that's bad stuff.

So far no weather advisaries, let's hope it stays that way! No worries, Joe ;) I can take some good heckling! I am going to try my best to do it tonight (and that's because I want to, not because of pressure ;) ), but I'm still just waiting to see if it even gets here today :?
