I have a question regarding a 1997 Pinacle Certified Mirror Gold /30 card. There is a Randy Johnson on ebay right now for $62.50 BIN/BO without the protective covering. Given the fact that they don't come up on ebay very often is this a good price? Is there any premium with the covering still on? If so should I wait till there is another one on ebay with a covering? Thanks I appreciate any input.

If you're talking about the mirror gold (unnumbered, refractor finish) and not the platinum gold (numbered, moving silver foil finish), $62.50 is a very high price. I checked on ebay and it is in fact the mirror. You'll find it much cheaper at auction as it shouldn't be as rare as you think it is.

Nice! Perhaps you already know that even though the card is numbered to 250, only the first 50 were d/c.

I'll blame it on my bookmark that takes me straight to the Frank Thomas thread.....I never looked at the active topics! Glad to finally find it!

Yep, that is why I bid on it in the first place, and then in the closing minutes realized it was his jersey number and dramatically increased my bid, but for some reason this auction went virtually unnoticed and went for the price of a McDouble!

Recent Mondesi pickup, 98 Essential Credentials Future, are these the only pink baseball cards ever made?

Nice. And to answer your question...no they are not. Classic used to have a couple of sets back in the very early 90's that were all pink. I kinda dig the pink look though.

The cards are so freaking awesome. I would like to own just one. The refraction makes it look like leaves in the fall.

I pulled one when I busted a box. I'll have to see who it was. I know it wasn't a big name player.

I paid $12 for that one. I think I was going against a guy that was putting the set together, but either way I have it off the checklist now.
