Congrats on the pickup, I just need the 50 point card myself. I saw the one you bought listed on COMC and was hoping I could finish up my set. No luck!

Anyone have their full set?

Anyone have their full set?

How many does each player have? 25, 50, 75 and 100?

Here is what Beckett says:
Seeded at a rate of one per pack, these standard-sized cards loosely parallel the far more scarce Player's Private Issue cards. Two glaring differences, however, are readily apparent: 1) The Auction cards are printed on thin paper stock (compared to the thick 20 pt board for PPI cards) and 2) The Auction card backs contain rules and guidelines for the auction promotion (compared to the normal statistics and player photo on the PPI cards). Collectors who obtained Auction cards were supposed to "bid" on a selection of ten different pieces of framed artwork (one for each of the following players: J.Gonzalez, M.McGwire, C.Ripken, M.Piazza, C.Jones, F.Thomas, D.Jeter, K.Griffey Jr., A.Rodriguez and N.Garciaparra). Bidding points were available in 25, 50, 75 and 100 point increments detailed at the top right corner of each Auction card back. Point totals were doubled, however, when the player featured on the Auction card was the same player actually being bid on. The auction period ran from July 4th, 1998 through October 16th, 1998. During that time period, collectors had to mail in their accumulated bid points and specify which of the ten pieces they were bidding upon. An "800" number was available for collectors to check upon the status of the current high bid, allowing them the opportunity to submit additional bid points prior to the October 16th closing date. Winners were notified 30 days after the closing date.

With all that said, I am sure a ton of these cards were tossed out during and after the auctions had ended. Even though there were player images on the cards, most people probably took the cards as rules/contest cards with no value. Add in the fact that I assume a lot of the cards were redeemed for the actual auction points. It really makes you wonder how many are still out there. Especially of the actual players that hard art in the auctions and had their auction points doubled. The Andruw cards sell for a buck or so, very cheap considering there probably are not many of each point total out there. At least that is my opinion.

Then the points. There's a slight texture difference from the game card and the regular players private issue. Front of the 25 scanned.

I know that most of the time I threw the auction points away, unless they were stars.

I'm sure they ARE tough to find.

Ok, I think this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it in the 258 pages easily. I just snagged the foil copy of the Pinnacle Plus Team Pinnacle below. Giving me two versions of the card now.

Lofton Foil/Jones no foil
Jones Foil/Lofton no foil

What other versions of these cards are known to exist? For example, do these exist?

Lofton Foil/Jones Foil
Lofton no foil/Jone no foil

The same question goes for the gold versions? Thanks in advance for any answers. Btw, the scan I got for the 2nd missing some of the bottom as I took the scan from ebay.
