Love that set. Are you going for a full set base/ref/atomic?

I am going to attempt all three versions. With only 10 cards in the set, it is not impossible. The atomic refractors will be hard to find and expensive however. It will be interesting to see how long it takes me to finish.

Awesome Card though!!!!

I wish, $287. There were two other bids over $250. This was also towards the end 2005, Andruw was tearing it up, bonds was in the news alot...I'm sure that helped a bit.

I know I've been slaughtered on a Cirillo in the $30's before. Though looking back, I definitely woulda bid higher!

No :( Second Time I've seen this card and both times I lose out to only 1 other guy. Someone must be setting some pretty crazy snipes.

Sorry man, better luck next time. I regret not getting the O'Neill Red /25 from the Beckett Marketplace, it was sitting in a seller's store for the longest time. At the time $30 seemed like a lot for it. When I finally convinced myself that it was a good deal, and was planning to buy, the card was gone. :benson:

Speaking of Gold Label Reds, if there are any Jim Edmonds collectors, there is a 1999 Gold label Red class 1 (#'d/100) on the Beckett marketplace right now for $5.00.

I have a Manny Ramirez 1999 topps gold label one to one- it a class 1 black label 1/1. Seeing some of the prices for the red and black topps gold labels has made me think about listing it on ebay...but I was wondering what amount of the final price is driven by the set collectors? It seems that the common theme in these threads are the player collectors placing some serious bids only to be runner up to the set collectors... Which means that the 1/1 may not be worth much more than a /25 red label if it misses the set collectors. Thoughts?
