Okay guys, I've got a question regarding the 1998 Ultra Platinum Medallion release...

I've got the following Griffey's: 1P, 215P and 476P. The first two are serial #'d but the last, the Pizazz version, isn't serial numbered. I tried looking for other Pizazz platinums on ebay but didn't see any so I can't compare to see if they should be serial #'d. Do any of you 90's guru's know if they're supposed to be? Thanks.

My Andruw is serial numbered out of 98 also. Sounds like a replacement copy.

Perhaps that is the case, I'm hoping so at least. I'll get a scan up shortly, I'm a bit upset the seller didn't mention it wasn't serial numbered.

I love the unnumbered/backdoored stuff. It's almost more desirable because they are so much harder to find. Anyways, here's my non-serial pacific stuff.

ok i could use a little help with this one. i had always assumed the gold emboss was from the online game pacific did. that was until i asked our local pacific expert eddie. he said that was only done in 98 and wasnt certain to who the pacific partners were. there are no other distinguishing marks on the card, no serial number, nothing. so any help is appreciated.

99 pacific gold crown die cut.

Well, it only takes two to tango... Looks like your opposing bidder got the high bid then and then also added a higher one on top of that- so take that into consideration when bidding. Maybe you are going up against somebody that's working on that set? They migh tb ewilling to go up to $15-20 or maybe even more depending on how far along they are in the set building process...
edit* whoops- looks like it had just ended! $11.27- did you get it?

Yeah, I got it.

I had a snipe set for higher.

More than I would have liked to pay, but first one I have seen in the two-ish plus years of collecting him, so I didn't mind. Haven't picked up much Hidalgo stuff recently, so pretty nice to pick up a rarish 90's insert.

Well, I sold an AJ Hinch for like $15, so take that in to consideration. :^)

Then I'd be inclined to believe its a guy going after the set.
