Awesome Jay.

The Green Thomas #ed 35/250 sold a month or so back for really cheap. I believe I was underbidder and I didn't even throw out an overly serious offer. Looking back, I'd have liked to have it, but I was trying to get other cards (and failing I should add) at the time.

Thanks Ross. If this was at auction I probably get it for at least half of what I paid, but it was a BIN without best offer. I decided to pony up for it. I don't know where the red is, but I know none of the McGwire collectors have it. Hopefully it shows itself one day.

Great card! I've looked for 001 or 022 of Will Clark for any of the Crusades, no luck. Good luck with the 001 Red. I'm sure you'd be the only player collector with a matched numbered set. Hard enough to own 1 of each anyway.

Sexy

A Larry Walker just sold the other day for 150 or so. Wish I knew where the Griffey's were (maybe I don't).

Yup, $156, wish I had some money to spend at the time but I had just bought a 1/1 Gold label and 3 other high end cards, so I couldn't go any higher than $150. But I'm happier with cards I got.

Thanks Joe! None whatsoever. I've checked all the usual suspects, and came up empty. Most of the red's are in set collector's hands anyways. I'll have to keep asking around.

Found these in my "stash". Maybe my two favorite cards from the early 90's (as a kid I traded the Bagwell out of this subset for an '85 Topps Big Mac...wish I had the Bagwell back! :D

Earlier this year when I bought the Mark Grace Red #1/25 in the big set sell-off on eBay, the seller told me while we were negotiating he had been contacted by a buyer that was trying to put together all the #1/25 Crusades. Good chance that collector may have the McGwire. I think the ebay seller's ID is in an old Crusade thread (or someone may remember), you could contact them and see if they remember that collector.

I'm very jealous.... I have found 8-10 players but can't find my guy. Any idea how these were distributed or what it took to get the stamp?
