Never liked the foilboard used on the Showcase series- bland and did not pop
Amateur hour on that set. Does look better in person but honestly it's bland even then
Tried using my phone- little better luck- but not much

Two more 90's cards from that future sub scanned

Finishing off the 1998 Donruss Studio Jumbo 8 x10 Box Topper set is another Hall of Famer and another possible future one. Loaded set- they honestly probably just picked frequent All-Stars and hoped for the best. I'd imagine how annoying it would be to keep popping boxes open trying for a specific player. Luckily eBay started taking off in 1997 so it "might" have been easier but not much

Back in the recent grading / slab pickups thread I posted some backlog slabs from my Clemens 1996 Stadium Club Xtreme slabbed subset, and said I was fairly certain the slabbed "Xtreme Gold Promo" was just a base Gold. Well I'm gonna need to go back to my Utah storage and get the slab out to fix the label , as I found several of the Gold Promos like the one below

Below is a correct 1996 Stadium Club Xtreme Gold Roger Clemens Promo item. Larger sized with the outer border in white
It's roughly 4.25 inches tall and 4 inches wide

Both these hand cut items originated from the 1992 National catalog from Legends Sports
Not sure why I kept that 3 card panel I usually trade them away for stuff
Its sorta a blood red which is why it doesn't scan very well
I know it was part of an entire 9 card panel at one point because I have a complete mag with it inside
The taller one says " 1 of 30,000" which I think is how many magazines they printed

Been busy getting back up to get some stuff added to Becketts OPG
The 2nd item on my list is an addition to the OPG for the 1990 Windwalker disc set
It concerns the 6.25 inch wide disc of the 1990 AL All-Star Team Windwalker Disc inserted into the boxes

Below is the box front and back pics of the box that contained the 9 discs and this 1990 AL All-Star team disc
Becketts had the 9 small discs forever for some reason this was overlooked
I've had it in my Clemens PC forever and am getting my larger and jumbo stuff slabbed next year so out it came
However- needs to be in OPG before the grading team and address it
Shows 30 players plus a bunch of coaches

Below is the 1991 and 1992 versions of Field of Productions Inc prototype products I've been researching ( a Corporate sponsor at 1991 and 1992 Nationals). While my research is a long way from complete figured I'd show pics of the items. I've gotten the Clemens Prototype into OPG, working on getting Nolan Ryan and Rickey Henderson added since I've confirmed distribution channels

Think a bunch of us also have Silver Star Authentix items. I'd like to accumulate all I can on these Field of Productions items. Whether its prototype items, cards, posters, displays etc- would love to see what folks have and any materials you may have with them

Below is a few of my larger items. If anyone has the handouts they gave out at those two Nationals, or any 1990's magazines with ads would help. Also any hobby related info / pics. Another of the many projects I am working on in my free time

1991 SILVER STAR FIELD OF VISION PROTOTYPE NOLAN RYAN / RICKEY HENDERSON (being entered into OPG should propagate soon)

1992 ROGER CLEMENS SILVER STAR FIELD OF VISION 7 x10 PROTOTYPE ( the new OPG item is entered)

Below is the 1992 National program that lists the Field of Vision folks at that 1992 National
Locating my 1991 program so I can scan that one in as well

This is the type of stuff that gets items into OPG- distribution methods confirmed, proper pics, MLB and MLBPA logos, and research etc etc. If an item does not have a MLB logo, or MLBPA, or the newer late 90's forward MLB Properties logos then it make it exceedingly difficult. A team approved item would require team logo approvals which can be confirmed and ad materials sourced. In this case- confirmed attendance at a major hobby event, MLB logos, team logos all sourced and researched.

Some dust covered samples from 1997 Pinnacle Certified and 1997 Pinnacle Totally Certified ( two different series / boxes)
As you can see totally covered up in dust. Think this box must be a "dump" box I used for miscellaneous stuff I worked on and moved on from

My guy Clemens of course had a Sample card from the Totally Certified Series

Couple more slabbed 1990's Heltons to show off. Folks just have no idea how difficult Skybox items are to Gem until they try themselves. The orange borders and card stock make hiding any surface or corner flaws impossible

And we all love Atomic Refractors of course !!!

Be glad to take the Griffey and Juan off your hands. I'm working on both those sets.
