love that set, have you gotten any of the back door ones?
Yep I have a Legacy Row 0 Helton back door card. As far as I can tell the rest of the ones I own are legit. P.S. - Those Legacies of Bichette and Young are serial # = jersey # cards. Also just found a stack of non-Rockies players serial #ed firsts/lasts/and jersey #s - will get scans up in the next few days and posted here! McGwire, Chipper, and Bernie Williams are the top few cards...

This cream-worthy wonder popped up on COMC tonight:

It's a little early for my birthday, but if anyone wants to help me celebrate, this would be a good starting point! :D

Most of these qualify for this thread. The proofs and refractors don't get justice from the picture.

New scanner, and I am so upset! It's so slow, and didn't come with good software, so it loads straight to Photoshop... I loved my Kodak Scanner!!
This card has been a royal PAIN! All three of them actually! I went years and years without even knowing what this card looked like. Finally see one and the guy wants $30 for the Luminous...a year or so later, finally pick up one, then years later another (luminescent this year), in the meantime buying two more luminous advertised as Illuminator
Finally a fellow 90's collector finds this real illuminator and I can finally say I am DONE!!

Uhhmmm, whoever seems to be selling uncut proofs on ebay needs to stop drinking as much when they take the scissors to the uncut sheets to make these "uncut player proofs". I got a Bagwell/Todd Helton out of a topps product and either the person who did the cutting was drunk or a 3 year old. It's the last one I touched or will touch.

Yea these things are shaddy. I messages the dude and he had tons of these things. He told me he has like multiple Belle ones lol. Like no rush, he just keeps selling one and reposting another for $25 BIN. No thanks. Doesn't smell right.

This brings up an entire new though and topic. How about people just cutting them?! Why not? It's scary. I, like most player collectors, needs their guy for the harder of the three versions and I'm sure I'll get screwed and but a copy that someone cut themselves from this joker.

Do those panels say "sample" on them? What is stopping guys from doing it?

Cant imagine what you are talking about... You realize that this stuff is backdoored or garbage, or leftover scraps, I am not sure why you'd expect precise cutting. Are you thinking that the guy selling it randomly cut crooked lines? Are you thinking that the seller is picking and choosing how they're cut up?

!
Not much to smell here...I don't think there's any debate that these are backdoored, garbage, and/or scraps...whether he has 5 of each, 10 of each or 100. I think we are safe to assume he is not currently printing these...

Have you noticed the intricate cuts on these? I am sure someone could do it, but it would be a lengthy process and hardly worth $10-$20 an Illuminator star would go for.
