two more cheap ones from ebay. the card on the right... any way to tell if it is the 1997 pacific light blue or the silver card? I see nothing blue about it, but I can't imagine I picked up the silver for a buck (if anyone could show me a side by side scan of the two that'd rule)

Here are mine (light blue, silver):

It is almost impossible to tell unless you have two of them side by side. I have guessed before at what I thought a card was only to be wrong later. Some true silvers look light blue by themselves. Comparing yours to scans is also difficult as everyone's scanners seem to work differently with how the colors show. My best advice would be to locate a light blue version as they should be cheaper and buy one. You could then compare the 2 you have and should have your answer. Unless of course the person who sold you the light blue actually sold you a silver.

Very nice Russ! If you like the Credential, I think you'll LOVE the Essential Credential.

That way that I differentiate them is the light blue is a smoother foil, while the silver foil is more etched.

And to get the silver for $1 is very possible, as that set isn't all that popular and no one realizes that they are rare. I picked up the Arod Silver for 75 cents.

judging from the other silvers on ebay (Granted I don't know if half the sellers know the difference) does seem possible i picked up a silver for a buck... card show here in greensboro on my bday and since I love the cheap stuff I will be digging and digging in the cheap boxes, hopefully I'll find a couple of these to compare and contrast to. I still can't for the life of me tell which it is, i marked it into my database as the light blue for now until I can find an example of the other in person
thanks for the help folks!

hoping the show coming up will net me some fun stuff to post up in this thread.

Dang, an Arod for 75 cents? I'll have to keep my eye out for a deal like that.

Thanks to Brewer Andy for selling me a few of his '98 Master Craftsmen. Brings me up to almost 50%. Still quite a ways to go though.

Chad, were you able to pick up the master craftsmen piazza from COMC?

Nah,
I'd given up on the set until I purchased 6 from Brewer Andy a couple of days ago. To be honest, I don't even remember seeing a Piazza. What sucks is I sold my Nomar a couple of days before I bought some from Brewer Andy, so I'll have to find another again.
