I've got an ARod for my collection. One day I promise I will scan my collection. As for the Jeter, I guess I never thought about the term "True Grit" as labeled on the card before I watched the movie just last night.

Really sweet inserts in the 90s were the pinnacle mint coins. Does anyone have both the 97 solid silver and 97 nickel coins? From what I know, the solid silver was really rare and like 10x more $ than the nickel.

I have both from 98 and it's clearly different on the back it says fine silver on the silver. I won the silver from 97 but I don't have the nickel to compare. Auction CLEARLY states it's the silver but it doesn't say on the coin. Have a bad feeling about this one guys :benson:

Edit AGAIN: link I shared is actually from NASCAR, was able to verify. Still leaves me looking for baseball proof

I bought one from a dealer a few years back on BMB and it looks like the one on ebay. He claimed it was Silver and it was the same guy I bought every other one of my Mints from (97 & 98). I'm only about 80% confident I have the 97 Silver though.

Thanks for the other link, I've never seen a supposed back...maybe I got screwed.

Sold the Jeter a couple of months ago. Also had a Frank, but gave it away to a collector who had been looking for one much longer than I had.

VERY COOL~! I have all the Belle's from 98 except for the artist proofs and the 1/1 solid gold exchange. These are SO SWEET to see.

Do you or any of the juan guys have the coins from 1997? That is what I'm trying to uncover and clear up... would love to see the nickel and solid silver front/backs to clear up how to tell the difference. Starting to think you really can't other than finish and maybe weight.

I saw this card pop up on Beckett in about March for a pretty fair $15. I ignored it because I'm not a fan of the picture Leaf used. Then I saw one on ebay with the bid at $32 - somehow that prompted me to buy the one on Beckett :?

1998 Leaf Fractal Materials Wood WZ /200 (#'d to 250 - first 50 die-cut)

This is the first card that comes to mind when I consider my most treasured card. I already loved this parallel set, but I didn't really realize what I was getting when I ebayed this in about '98-'99. Some dealer out of California had it - I've heard that the Pudge was ebayed about that same time. This card is slightly oversized and numbered to 000 - some kind of proof?

The 1998 Fleer Tradition '63 parallel is one of my most sought after Biggio cards. The real one, not the promo.

Never seen one for sale....ever. Insane.

Guess I need a promo now too. UGH!

I don't think they're promos. I think they are some kinda proof that was backdoored. I consider them 1/1's until proven otherwise.

1997 Pinnacle Mint solid silver. It is about 8 times heavier than the brass.
