I've had an Andruw in my collection for years. I would guess it's real.

Thanks, all. I was actually the underbidder on this auction but was given a second chance offer. I figured it'd give me a second chance on checking up on the card.

Looking back at the completed auctions, it looks like only the Jeter collectors are crazier than us Sandberg collectors. Heck, we even outbid the Juan Gone collectors. :D

I passed on the Belle but I guess it could be legit. Tough to say. Odds are it is legit and will pop up on the beckett checklist soon than later ::facepalm::

Why would it hit the Beckett Checklist? Have these made it into the checklist?

The .300 Club insert set was also hot. Around release, the Thomas booked $30 (and I had two!).

Oh man I remember being so jealous of a friend that had the Thomas. I had a Carlos Baerga and thought it was one of the coolest looking cards ever made.

Such a fantastic set. I wouldn't mind if they brought it back with the exact same design. Here's your checklist:

1. Albert Pujols (11, 31) .3284 R
2. Ichiro Suzuki (11, 37) .3256 L
3. Joe Mauer (8, 28) .3235 L
4. Todd Helton (15, 37) .3226 L
5. Vladimir Guerrero (16, 36) .3176 R
6. Miguel Cabrera (9, 28) .3168 R
7. Matt Holliday (8, 31) .3150 R
8. Derek Jeter (17, 37) .3129 R
9. Manny Ramirez (19, 39) .3122 R
10. Ryan Braun (5, 27) .3119 R
11. Magglio Ordonez (15, 37) .3090 R
12. Robinson Cano (7, 28) .3077 L
13. Hanley Ramirez (7, 27) .3060 R
14. Dustin Pedroia (6, 27) .3051 R
15. Chipper Jones (18, 39) .3042 B
16. Michael Young (12, 34) .3036 R
17. Victor Martinez (10, 32) .3033 B
18. Alex Rodriguez (18, 35) .3017 R
19. Placido Polanco (14, 35) .3009

I don't know how difficult the other sports were to obtain, but the seller has a few of those as well. Can someone else give some input on the rarity of the other sports?

I have an Yzerman from hockey - same design and such. It was hard for me to track down (probably have seen 5 copies at most over the years). I can only imagine that they are quite hard to come by (I'm ripping off a scan).

They are listed under 1997-98 Pinnacle Collectors Club Team Pinnacle - so maybe you could only get them if you were part of that group. The list of hockey is as follows:
#H1 Wayne Gretzky
#H2 Patrick Roy
#H3 Eric Lindros
#H4 Paul Kariya
#H5 Peter Forsberg
#H6 John Vanbiesbrouck
#H7 Martin Brodeur
#H8 Steve Yzerman
#H9 Jaromir Jagr
#H10 Mark Messier
#NNO Wayne Gretzky PROMO
#NNO Peter Forsberg PROMO

What about the promos? Are they easier to come by?

This was today's mailday. It was kind of a spur of the moment purchase, but it was one of those things that I may never see again. Not too many people think to list Galarraga cards.

Glad it arrived fast! I purchased a incomplete set in November and that was 1 of the extras I had. Enjoy!

Dang, are you putting the set together?

More like, attempting to find as many different as possible. The "set" would be basically impossible, with cards within it that might not even exist. I may move it eventually, I've sold 3 or 4 of the cards I didn't have an extra of already (Sandberg, Puckett, Griffey).

clarkfan, thanks for almost stopping my heart! I've got "include descriptions" in my Brett Butler saved search. For a second I thought you'd unearthed another '92 Super DK.

I do :)

I had the whole set. Thomas gone at $1800, Clark gone at $1500, Ripken gone at $1500, more to come as I have the time to list them.
