The power of listing a bunch of cards of a player at once?

Earlier this month a Griffey Prominent Figures /190 sold at auction for about $25, which seems about right. Last week another got listed. While it was listed, Burbank's sold at a $29 BIN. The final price on the one that ended yesterday from a seller that listed 400 Griffeys at once?

That was the one card listed by the seller that I needed. I bid $33 I think. Thought that would have bought it. Needless to say, I was shocked! I wish I checked on burbank.

The first 250 of the 2500 were die-cut; anything 251-2500 is gonna be the non-die cuts.

Those cards are such a pain for me; many of my PC players came of age in the late 90's, so most insert sets are full of them (Rolen, Nomar, Thome, Erstad, Kotsay). Almost anything from Leaf R&S can be a pain, given the landmark nature of the set. Someday I'll break down and buy a box, as long as they don't get much pricier!

Very Interesting observation. In my case it would be the opposite. I have a limited budget, so if someone listed a bunch of cards I needed at once, I would probably have to pick and choose which ones to bid on. That's a huge difference on those auctions!

Yeah but if you can save money on shipping, that extra money can spent on the cards. Trust me, when somebody lists a bunch of Bagwells at once, I always give it a try provided I need the cards. The money I save on shipping can be tacked on to paying a wee bit more. But not necessarily $30-$40 more. But yeah, if somebody lists a bunch of rare Bagwell stuff, not your every day or even semi hard to find stuff but I'm talking rare expensive cards, they are kinda shooting themselves in the foot. Then we do have to pick and choose our battles. I think it comes down to how much time and effort the seller wants to waste in listing them and holding onto what hasn't been listed yet. When I traded/sold off my comics I was taking $30 and $40 on comics that were worth $75-$100. I did this simply because I had so damn many comics that if I had to sit there and list every single one....even the decent value ones, I'd be spending a lot of time when my main goal was to make it a quick process. Not to mention there were quite a few I had that I got about half book on when I had only paid cover price or less. Case in point I had purchased an entire long box at a show with Ultimate Spiderman comics with multiple copies of 1-10. I think I paid like $50 for the long box itself so needless to say...taking half of what they were worth wasn't a big deal. Perhaps it's the same with some of these people and their cards.

Landmark nature of the set? Elaborate....

The multiple tiers and parallels. Serial numbered. Die-cuts. Different materials. Most don't know the die-cuts are the same as the nons. The first *** were cut and the rest not. The different axis pary eas very confusing.
