So you can definitely tell the difference if you have them side by side in-hand?

I should add that the first two pictured are listed together with higher prices, and the third one is listed on it's own at a much lower price.

Oh yes. Definitely can tell.

That first one looks gold to me. I would show you mine but they were scanned with two different printers, and you cant really tell. But darnit, I know I have both!

I agree, only the top one is a gold. The foil around the name is gold, not silver.

Whats the dfference between these?

1998 Pacific Online #315
1998 Pacific Online Red #315
1998 Pacific Online Web Cards #315
1998 Pacific Online Winners #315

Base Online has gold foil. The Red parallel has, of course, red foil. The Web Cards have silver foil, and an alphanumeric code on back that was entered into the Pacific website for a chance to win the Online Winners, which barely exist.

Another noteworthy addition to what was said above is that the online web cards have 2 variants. One with the online code in the uppper right and the other in the lower left. It was said that one was more rare than the other giving the owner a better chance to obtain a 'winner card', but that theory has not been proven and many of the 'winner cards' for certain players do not exist. I only know of a handful of players that do exist and Griffey is one of those with only 1 of the 3 cards existing.

Thats not entirely accurate. The Base is silver foil. Web Cards are gold foil. And heres images of the backs and different code placement.

Nice! Never knew what the "winner" cards looked like. I was not on my AOL dialup like I am today to ever try and redeem one of these.
