@banjar = apology- rudeness wasn't the intent of my post. I'll work on the wording in future posts and try to be clearer on what my pic contents contain so no one has to guess what any picture contains. I keep making "assumptions" - my fault.

Appreciate you pointing the rudeness out Billy. I'll work on cleaning up the quality and clarity of what I write on the site

Been a minute since I've been active here but I have a new project. Trying to knock out 2003 Topps Chrome Silver Refractors. This board was always the best source of information for cards from that era. Here's my list:

Appreciate any leads I can get.

Couple of slabbed Clemens newly scanned for my Clemens registry
I'm about 2.5 years behind on my registry scans- just a fact of life interferring and taking priority
Since they are 1990's figured I'd show them off- along with an occasional raw Finest to be peeled and sent to PSA
Far off ( February tax return time) but gotta plan this stuff months in advance otherwise I never get time for it
Scanning because in order to file claims with PSA stuff needs high resolution scans otherwise subbers are dead in the water

I'm a Peel guy- just how I roll so just before I send it in is when they get peeled til then they stay on and protect the surfaces

Recently while handling my Clemens lists, I noticed a 1990's postcard set that I couldn't place in my memory. I was working on a few PSA / BGS future submissions of some oversized stuff specifically for registry folks I deal with all the time so it was important to me to ID the items. So I started digging

This set I found is commonly listed by numerous sellers as Bill Goff / Good Sports Postcards, or "Bill Purdom" or "GoodSportsArt.com" in some cases. Took me a little time to figure the identification in Becketts OPG out, but eventually I dug up enough info online and discovered the set was listed on Becketts OPG as 1999 TOPPS GALLERY HERITAGE POSTCARDS . Some checking revealed interesting creation of the postcards , which were to assist Topps in promoting the 1999 Topps Gallery baseball set. Part of the promotion included production of limited edition lithographs folks could purchase. These items used the 1953 Topps design intended for use in the 1999 Topps Gallery throwback subset . Whenever the artists produced a lithograph their managing company always produced a matching postcard for promotional purposes, and distributed them regionally in the New England / TriState NY / PA / NJ areas. This set has 4 Hall of Famers including Griffey, Ripken, Jeter, and Piazza, plus Big Mac, Clemens, Garciaparra, and Sosa - sorta a low key loaded set

The entire list can be found below using the Wayback Machine for older websites. It contains further info about the lithographs and postcards. It's how I matched up what Becketts site showed with what I owned. Just the numbering part had thrown me off until I dug into the company history

The artists involved in these include some of the best known names in the sports art industry back then including Bill Purdom and James Fiorentino, and his name was well known to anyone back then who collects sports art as his work just shines - even the Hall of Fame uses and displays it

WEBSITE ITSELF GOODSPORTS WEBSITE

LITHOGRAPHS PRODUCED - LIST OF LITHOGRAPHS AND PICS

ADDED INFO More info about Goodsports

Becketts OPG had listed them #1 thru 7. I had to show them that back in the early 2000's they must have taken those "numbers" off the list provided on the actual company website, because the backs of these items had no such numbering. After confirmation of my info , Becketts OPG staff has now removed the numbering. They also added Nomar Garciaparra to the OPG list as it had not listed him despite visual proof his lithograph and postcard were produced

Here's pics of the entire 8 postcard set. They are approximately 3.75 x 5 inches. Trying to get my peeps at Burbank to help me upload pics to the dealer side of Becketts OPG so pics can show in the Marketplace and sellers can list them for sale. Many I am sure have them, they just couldn't figure out how to get them listed due to the improper identification

Some 90's Todd Helton as I start emptying the storage units out during selling season
Subbed these I believe back in 2018 . Will show off more 90's stuff that's hitting the exit door
Thought my Silver stood a chance but alas slightly short

I'll try and start posting stuff coming out of the woodworks as I dig into my units

Also- anyone have any info on 1991-92 Starline Prototype Jumbo's ? Not the tickets/cards- the 8x10 items
There's a Ryan and Clemens plus a few others. I remember them at a few Nationals and being sold at Cumberland Farms convenience stores where we were, but can't seem to locate my paperwork. If anyone can dig up their 1990's Tuff Stuff / Baseball Card Magazines etc and see if an ads in them would be great

Both these Tek Heltons are Pop 1 and likely to remain low pop based on recent more stringent grading standards

And another Finest refractor to hit PSA next year now that he's in the HOF
Reminds me to dig out my Bagwells and start listing again- gotta rid the storage of all my Finest PSA sets

More from the 1998 Donruss 8 x10 album . Looks like some of the Ultra Pro pages could use replacement
Albums been sitting for years some surfaces will look scruffy- thats the page , not the cards
Excuse the scans- I put whole pages down on the scanner and keep the item inside the protective Ultra Pro page

No sir, I most certainly will NOT excuse those scans. They're hideous!

:)

It's nice to see some of these cards. I didn't realize they even existed since homeboy wasn't included in the checklist...
