How can you call a team one of the best, when they didn't play anyone? Actually they played one other good
team and only scored 6 points against them.

It easy to be great when you play Kent St and North Texas.
You can only play the teams that you are scheduled to play.

and the deciding factor should of been the quality of wins not losses.
They should be weighed equally, and OSU lost to IOWA STATE!!!

To me, OK state is more impressive:

BCS rankings
#6, #22, and #25 (Bama) v. #8, #12, #14 and #24 (OK State)

BTW, how is Arkansas 6 with 2 wins over teams over .500?

Bama wouldn't have the balls to schedule a road game on Thursday night. Western Kentucky, Western Carolina and
Florida Atlantic next year, what a joke.

We also open the season up against Michigan... I am sure Alabama would gladly play Iowa State.

Doesn't the BCS formula take into consideration such things as SOS? It is not like the computer randomly picked two teams. The fact that LSU and Alabama already played has no bearing on the BCS formula. It may not be the best in the world but it is what is there. I liked the way they put it on ESPS. When Bama was at their worst this season it was an OT loss to the number one team in the nation.

Pretty good for the SEC having 4 teams in the BCS top 10.

How a 1-loss team ranked in the Top 7 of the BCS and doesn't get into a BCS game is a total joke. Sorry Michigan and Virginia Tech fans, but your teams have no business playing in the BCS. Michigan didn't even play in their conference championship game, and V Tech looked completely outmatched last night.

Baylor beats both Texas and Oklahoma, goes 9-2 and gets a 7-5 Washington team in some crappy bowl game. WOW

Alabama can't schedule the good cupcake teams. LA-Monroe beat a Nick Saban coached Alabama football team in Tuscaloosa in 2007.

Finally we'll get an answer to the question of whether LSU can beat Bama. Where would we be without the BCS?

Why would Alabama even want to play on a Thursday night? Thursday night games are for teams that are average and/or wants to be on national tv.

Please tell me a team that doesn't pick some easy teams . Next year most will see the final W/L record not who they played . I believe New Mexico was undefeated one year and didn't play in a bowl game , Boise St and Hawaii will play almost anyone . Montana St played Miami one year and thier payday was more than they made in a season . Their coach said the school couldn't pass up the $$. When was Michigan or Ohio State home games not sold out even if playing a minor team ? NOTE I have nothing against Mich or OSU but some years these two are equal in wins . So don't watch the rematch but don't talk about your team if this comes up for you. The message boards will be open .

Saban scared - lol -

We open the season at Jerry's World against Michigan. We played Penn State home and home. Scheduling is done years in advance.

We had FSU a couple years ago.

Georgia Southern could beat some Big 12 teams and prob Ole Miss this year.

Kevin... I've never bashed you before. Others have and I just stay quiet. I actually find myself agreeing with you the majority of the time. But tonight... you are being an idiot. Have you even seen Alabama play a game this year? It doesn't sound like you have. Why on earth would Saban be scared to take on anyone?

It's sad listening to these ESPN guys "justify" why Bama should be there Jain the same arguments they used to "justify" why there should't have been a Michigan - Ohio rematch in 2006. Alabama loses by 3 at home, and Michigan lost by 3 on the road.

The BCS is a joke. Boise got screwed, and I can't figure out how VaTech got a spot. They got blown out twice by the only ranked team they played.

The Cowboys got SCREWED! The voters have WAYYY too much respect for the SEC, of course I'm omitting Alabama and LSU but wow people make such a huge deal about the Razorbacks, someone even on here said they should be 3 in the country?!?! Hello here are some of their wins: New Mexico, Troy, Missouri State, very tight games at Vandy and Ole Miss who aren't near the level of top 10 teams. Got SMACKED by Bama and HANDLED by LSU. Bama had their chance and sometimes that's how the cookie crumbles if you want to play for the national title the showing in the conference title should have a huge impact along with whether or not you were undefeated if you come from one of the not as great conferences. Seriously that's life Bama had to play LSU and lost and therefore sat on their ass championship weekend, so now they play for the BCS national title? How does that happen, each team has one loss but one won the conference title handely. That's just ridiculous that's disheartening some teams will just get in due to strength of schedule and there is nothing other teams who are more deserving could do, Bama got in just because they are Bama they are obviously a powerhouse program and did not deserve to get in over the Cowboys who played their ass off this year. Make a 4 team playoff have LSU play Stanford and the Cowboys play the Tide, teams get ridiculously screwed with the current system.

Yeah, Bama had their chance and Oklahoma State didn't!?!? What great logic!

They redeemed themselves by winning the conference title in convincing fashion Saturday...what was Bama doing then?

A team that does not win it's conference, much less it's own division should not play in the NC game.

Doesn't matter if the one team that beat them is from the same said conference and division. Beat them when you had the chance, at home no less.

OSU vs LSU
