I thought there would be a thread devoted to his hugeness. He has always been big but when he turned sideways and walked off the mound one inning i almost fell out of my chair. He has to be the heaviest man currently in the league.

Well, if that game is any indication, we're going to have a great season ahead of us!

Elbury and Papi are going to KILL us this year, kill us.

Game one to the Sox. You win some you lose some.

And just so you guys know, Sabathia pitched better today than he did opening day last year.

Surprised to see the Sox score that many runs, but one thing I noticed is that without Teixeira and A-Rod contributing, the Yankees still scored 7 runs.

Once we get out of April we will see what happens...

Remember, 8-0 :D

Might want to spend another 100 million on a bullpen next year.

Hey VW do you know when NY gets their rings? Are they gonna do it with Boston in town like Boston did in '05?

RED SOX WIN!!!!

They looked good tonight, I didn't expect that much offense from them against the Yanks but I like what I see....I LOVE the 'small ball' team they have this season. 8-)

He worked VERY hard this offseason to regain his dominant self, so I will go with "A". :)

Man, you guys beat up on Chan-Ho! I'm scared!

Aceves, Robertson, Chamberlain, Rivera.

Those are the guys that make our pen great.

Really, I don't care. The Yankees started 0-2 last year and 0-8 against the Redsox. How did that turn out? I didn't see the Red Sox ring ceremony tonight. Must have missed it. Darn.

The Yankees are slow starters. Have been for quite a while. Sabathia, Teixeira. Just wait.

Might want to lock up Beckett for another 4 years, he looked great out there tonight!

that was a great game!!! i dont see the sox winning 85 this year! i hope i am wrong but losing bay and replacing him with mike cameron then moving jacoby to left befuddles me! i like cameron as a player but we needed a run producing bat. scutaro and beltre might be salty on the defensive side but scutaro cannot hit and beltre has been spotty at best! there is a very good chance that the sox wont have a 30hr 100rbi guy this year. of course the staff should be amazing but dice k will be the factor in how the season goes. if he can win 12-15 games they will surpass the 85 but putting the chips on him is scary!
