I think you should all just collectively ask for your cards back and walk out of the league. That should make the decision a bit easier for the commish.

Either he is out for not sending cards in timely manner (7-0 vote in league) OR he is in because Ben said he is in

The new proposal is just a way to make MAC happy and not anger the guy in 5th who got a chubby thinking he now has a shot

If I were in 1st and 2nd and ended up losing to 5th or 6th place owner under the new proposal I would be angry

MAC should have just disqualified himslef for intentionally taking so long

No way in hell I'd ever "add" team's to the playoff's this late in the game (heck, I wouldn't add them AFTER the league drafted as IMO I never change anything that will influence the outcome of the league once the draft has taken place).

It's wrong in so many ways for the people who did send in a timely manner & are in 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place battling it out to win the league prize (they shouldn't have to suffer or have thier odds of winning cut in half by adding more playoff teams to the mix)! After reading this over I'd have to stick with the league vote of 7 to bump Mac (maybe if worst come to worst just give Mac his card back & be done with that situation).

I think the vote speaks pretty clearly about how the rest of the league owners feel.

Just an udpate for those that are interested

Commish decided to go with unanimous league vote and booted MAC out of playoffs
Lack of common courtesy of sending in card in timely manner was a no-brainer
MAC then decided to go low road with bashing and namecalling

JEA will be commish next year
Ben will send back MAC's card
I would anticipate whomever wins the league to give Ben a card as a "tip" for being commish

Whatever makes you feel better. The running rough shot did not work so had to do something. If it was a whatever you would not have gone through all these shenanigans.

definitely a childish statement. Yep you slaughtered my last week with several of your players having career ffl days, fortunately my playoff position was locked.

Hopefully you guys learned something valuable about leagues like this.

Always, always always spell out every rule at the beginning of the season and leave it in writing where it is accessible to all when you login to the league. There is a commish note you can use to store all of your rules on just about every FF league. I run leagues like this year round and have never had a dispute because there is no room for it. If somebody breaks a rule, you say you broke rule #3, consequence says you are out, goodbye.

PS. When money/goods are involved, you should make the due date within the first few weeks, not the end, why open the door for somebody who's doing poor to take his ball and go home without paying up.

Update: Longview Redeemed 134 Mac 101, even thought he was not playoff eligible, according to ESPN he has no shot at the Trophy.

Longview Redeemed [Me] will be in the FFL Championship Game.

As it turns out TPA Ben would have made the championship if MAC sends card in on time but due to seedings being moved around, TPA eliminated. Sucks for Ben but as Commish, I suppose he could have been more froceful in demanding cards weeks (months?) earlier
Regardless, it was the right thing to do (eliminate MAC)

Maybe the winning owner should keep that in mind when collecting first place prize (maybe a small "tip" to Ben) and let a card or two stay in Nashville

I dont know if there is more than one league that Ben ran, but I am in one. I assume this league is the one.

I didnt send my card in either, but I clearly stated that I would be providing an Ebay gift card/Paypal gift card to compensate for my prize. Nobody seemed to object to this idea (some even thought it was a good idea).

I did not vote for the outcome of the playoff spots because I wasnt sending card(s). It sucks that things did go sour, but when it is all said and done I will be sending my prize to the winner. I will be wacthing the matchups to see whomever wins.
