I once woke up to find My Mustang that i later sold sitting on 4 rocks ( My rocks ofcourse ).
All 4 wheels gone and the neon lights underneath busted out from the jacks the used.

The bad thing was one of my neighbors saw someone doing it and thought it was me changing a tire at 3 in the morning.
Luckily i Had the stock rims and tires in the basement.
But it still really pissed me off cause i only had them for about 2 weeks

This happened to a friend of mine. He broke down on the highway and came back the next day to fix the problem. Sometime over the night someone came up and stole all 4 wheels and placed the car on blocks. This was on the side of a fairly busy highway.

Always wondered why someone would lug cinderblocks with them to steal wheels. Why not just place the car on the ground????

Not sure anyone would break into my car. I keep absolutely nothing in it, most of the windows are cracked and it probably looks like I couldn't even afford an ipod ;)

I sleep with bats within arm's reach. :) And a big dog.

I have two big dogs but they would help much... lick them to and wag their buts.

Haha! my dog is a foot tall  He thinks he is tuff, and barks when he hears something, but he really is a wimp!

I had someone break into my house once. I heard him downstairs, so I waited patiently.

He got several things out, while I was watching. I knew he couldn't stop, so he came upstairs to get more.

I stabbed him once and I held the knife to his throat while he called 911 from his cell phone to tell them about the break in.

The police thought it was pretty funny that I made him call.

David

good thing he broke into your house then.. cause if that happened here he'd be facing 15 round clip of hollow points from my Glock.. and surely I won't miss 15 times!

Out of all the people on this boards I would never think you would do that. I don't think it is wrong, actually I think it is awesome, but I just never thought you would do that lol. Nice!

I didn't meant to freak some people out by my post. I used to be quite different. I've been stabbed, sliced, shot at, etc. To protect my family, I would kill someone.

David

David-
That was brave, but man I would've just called 911 and left the house immediately with my family. Who knows what the guy had. If he had a gun and saw you come at him with a knife, things could've gotten ugly,

[quote="Pine Tar":1sb3ktnt]Man that sucks, I have to wonder though why you left your Ipod and Touch in your car.
Not bagging on you at all for your lose. Just asking.
And as a for what they took, My neighbor who is a cop says the thief's are usually just young
kids and will only take what can fit in the pocket most of the times. Small things most of the times.

They were in the Glove compartment plugged into the stereo. they have been in there since i had put in stereo a year ago. The glove box is usually locked.

If you want to comment on stupidity both have alarms and neither was on.

Hey read my post I was not bagging on you, I just asked why they were still in the car that was all.
Ok you left them in there, I have done it too. Sorry if this offend you. I have had my car broken into
back in 1994 actually it was broke in 2 days in a row. First time they took small stuff, second time they came back
and stole the radio, but this time they broke my window to get in.

I am not offended at all, just explaining. Trust me the alarm will be on always now, or at least for a few weeks till I get lulled into to safty[/quote:1sb3ktnt]

Hey bud, that really stinks that this happenned (& so close to Christmas)! As far as car alarms go, don't let those fool you into a false sense of security....I've interviewed many addict's who will sit there & pour out thier life of crime & talk about the "trick's of the trade" & it's common knowledge amongst many that you can fry a car alarm by hooking up a car battery w/jumper cable's to the car's antenna...no more alarm  Car alarm's have been proven (in studies that I've looked over when I was in college) to be more a inconvenience to your neighbor's than to the criminal's that you are trying to detere... Anyhow, I hope your Christmas has been a good one regardless of what those low-life's did to you (don't let them ruin your family's Christmas)! :D

true, but most break ins are people walking by and checking to find something open or something worth while out in the open.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

My wife's car was stolen over the summer. I haven't been that pissed off in a while.

They found the card, but the jerks took the battery, the radiator, a bunch of stuff from the trunk and they slashed all four tires. The car was totaled. Progressive was great about the whole thing, but it's just the balls it takes to just TAKE something that wasn't theirs.

Yeah...I hear ya on that.

We used to live in a pretty rough neighborhood when I was younger and I remember my dad telling me to get in the truck to go to school and as we were driving by the people across the street and two houses down we noticed all 4 tires had been slashed. My dad stopped and went and knocked on his door and told him his tires were slashed. That dude was so pissed.I can't imagine what joy you would get from doing something like that.It was undoubtedly a kid.I was no angel either I suppose but that was just sorry.

I would guess to get the jacks they are using out from under the car?
