OT: PDF Printing question

i have a PDF frile of teh Texas League AS game logo. i got it directly from the TL.

The file size is 305.55 KB and is 4" x 4".

do you think i would be able to get this image printed to 16" x 20" and keep the image quality?

No. A PDF is not a vector logo. You will be an .eps, .tiff, or .ai file to blow up to that large of a size and not lose resolution.

The only way to convert it would be to recreate it, which should be the last option. I would go back to them and ask them for a vector logo and hopefully they can supply you with one.

Actually, a PDF can be (and often is) a vector-based format.

Do you have any vector-based drawing programs? Illustrator? Inkscape?

thanks guys.. the Texas League asked me to email the missions where the game will be played and see if they can get me a better logo..

The Missions sent me the file in EPS format. i currently do not have a program that will open the file.. is there any free program i can use to open the file and save to my computer?
