With today's mailday, I got the 1989 TV Mailbags from a friend to finally finish off the 1980s, an entire decade! I also received a Panini French Sticker to complete all his 1992 cards. That now leaves me with just three cards remaining from 1990; two relatively easy Kenner SLU Cards and the near-impossible Donruss Aqueous. If I ever get those three, I will have all the cards from the first 13 years of Paul O'Neill's career from 1982-1994!

Here is the 1992 Panini French sticker, a surprisingly tough card to find. Beckett only recently added it to their OPG.

Congrats on the milestone!

You can't find the SLUs on the web?

Thanks Eddie! There are packed SLU but I am looking for just the loose cards. I'm sure people have them sitting around, they must not bother to list them.

congrats!

those french panini stickers were in their list years ago then taken off and now added back. I've noticed this with a few issues from the 80's as I had to go through my stuff and re-organize to see what was added/missing from my list versus their master list.

So why not just bite the bullet and get them packaged and take them out. If it gets you down to ONE CARD to finish the 90s, just do it!

tonsofcommons - Eddie, believe me, if the SLU figure in package didn't sell for $20-30, I'd be all over it. I'm not sure why it sells that high either. But I'm sure I can eventually snag the two cards for much less than that.

1st4040 - Thanks! I wonder why it was taken off the OPG for a short time. I'm also glad that I'm not the only OCD collector who regularly cross checks my list with Beckett to make sure I'm not overlooking something.

Oh yes, I do like that auto. That set, the Topps retired and the Inkcredibles are some of my favorites. Very nice pickup

ThoseBackPages - Thanks! If I ever find the Donruss Aqueous Test, I'll probably buy the sealed SLUs like you said. Until then, I'm still on the look out for decently priced copies. I was able to acquire my other SLU cards through trades or dime/quarter boxes. Hopefully I can do the same with these.

jay1065 - Thanks Jay!

Labratt21 - I am not a big fan of the Inkredible autos from 1999, I never liked the simple design very much. However, the Retired autos are very sweet. I like how the sets gave him three extra years of Topps card designs thru 2005. I wish they had continued this set, it was one of Topps finest products along with ATFF.

Might have to just buy the figurines. I never see loose singles anymore for my guys, ESPECIALLY at shows... since they aren't widely collected players. I trust you've looked at all the usual spots like Beckett Marketplace etc for singles?

Good luck.

EricChavezCollector3 - Thanks! I only wish I had more scans like you to share.

theplasticman - I've come across quite a few singles at shows actually but no 1990s yet. I haven't seen any on Beckett/eBay in recent months.

55_marlins_sp - Thank you, its nice to hear it coming from a fellow player collector.

That's amazing! Great job! I have the Gwynn slu cards still sealed, so I don't count them. I am still looking for loose copies at reasonable price.
The 80's is a great milestone!! Congrats!!!

Congratulations - an absolutely fantastic accomplishment!

I'll echo the others that have advised you to pick up the Starting Lineups in the package. I've yet to see a Butler out of package. I bit the bullet years ago and picked up a packaged one and liberated it. I have no idea what happened to the actual figurine - it's around somewhere, I'm sure. :D

congrats on two amazing accomplishments.

I have only completed one year of my Bay collection and I know how good it felt but I can't imagine how great it must feel finishing multiple years and a Decade.
