I find this all a bit funny. I know the Latos isn't paying anything forward but the responses are probably why nobody is even posting in this thread anymore

Yeah, everytime someone gets told that they need to put more up... you're moving further and further away from the fact that people who participate shouldn't have to be told.

I just don't think the concept is within grasp of a number of casual collectors who don't have anything high end - much less anything to give away. But, they want to participate, because they see something they want for free.

The thing I don't like is seeing multiples that are so different of each other that its hard to claim as a PC item. I like the Kaline lot...they were both Tigers cards but there have been times where it was more than 2 cards and if you took the entire lot, what kind of PC would that be for? I like when this first started out and the cards would go one for one, or one for two, or two for one, etc. I really hope this thread gets back on track because if I can't even offer something up, it's still a great thread to participate in and enjoy reading.

That was posted before I had my coffee and 2 sick girls to deal with and wasn't thinking too clearly.


I know that people that are claiming the cards are taking them because they're free. 9 times out of 10 they have nothing to put up to "pay it forward" with but are taking the cards regardless.

There is a ton of generous people on this board and they have tried to revive this thread but for some reason this thread hasn't taken off.

I was actually looking for stuff on eBay to buy strictly for the sole purpose of putting it up in here if a nice Cubs card or Bears card popped up but I saw the thread going down and figured I wouldn't bother.

the problem with the card you posted up is its not paying it forward. the card you put up is about a 10$ card and the cards you took are probably above 50$ . See where the problem lies there??

That Alexi Amarista Super might be a decent PIF card, I think that's worth close to what the Trammell/Kaline autos are worth.
