Just my opinion, but holding people to the standard that they must put up equal value to what they take isn't the true nature of paying it forward. I got turned off from the thread when people started posting lots, and then even further turned off when everybody decided the thread needed rules. It just killed the nature of the thread for me. I am probably guilty of taking more than I gave back, but I looked in my collection for a card that I thought somebody would want. I claimed an Ndamukong Suh rookie auto, with the intent to give it to my roommate, who is a big Nebraska fan. I put up a topps tribute quad relic of Bob Gibson, because I saw that a few people on this board collected him. I don't know what the solution is, but a equal value card swap isn't necessarily paying it forward. That is pretty much just a trade in my opinion. People should give back based on what they think other collector's will want. They nature of the thread should be about helping people build up their collections.

There already is a thread that helps people fill there collections. It's free to a good home thread.

PIF thread shouldn't be about replacing a 20$ card with a 20$ card you're right. It should be taking a 20$ card and replacing it with a 40$ card

People need to keep values in mind when deciding to claim a card or cards. If you don't have a card in similar value to replace the card don't claim the card. If the cards keep going down in value how do you expect people to find nice cards for their pc's if value stays the same or a lil higher this will help keep nice PC Cards. I also see no problem with replacing a card of higher value with a little bit lower value but not $50 to a $10 card it kills the idea. Next the $10 goes to $5 then $5 to $3 then what .... Someone puts up 2 cards worth $50+ to try & start it over..... Wait we tried that too

You should take that Latos down and put something of value back. OR return the other 2 cards. This isn't a wait and see what you can pull out of your ass thread. This is a pay it forward thread and you are not paying it forward.

By that logic, the value of the cards would continually rise to the point of excluding virtually all members of this board. I think it is rude to take a high end card and replace it with junk (if you can afford to give more than that), but paying it forward isn't about swapping equal value. Paying it forward is about taking a good deed done unto you and doing good unto someone else. This thread seems to be becoming a bit elitist. I would take no issue with somebody posting a Latos RC auto. It is a nice card. If nobody wants it, then perhaps you will have to pay it forward in a different manner (i.e. post a different card). However, if someone wants it, then it is a perfectly fine card to pay it forward on.

As far as I am concerned TTM is a greedy clown stuck in quicksand. The perfect person to NOT be in a community like this. Or any other community.

Slow. Delusional. Self-centered.
TTM...pony up something. Anything, but frankly, I wouldn't trust you to send anything to anyone. Not at all. Not with the lack of respect you've shown this thread and therefore this community.

Hope you enjoy your free Trammell and Kaline cards you selfish ass.
