Manning.

Atheletically neither can run, they are precise and both have a cannon. Both spread the offense and neither need a huge running game to be successful.

Manning gets the heads up by his ability to read the defense when he gets to the line and audible to pick the D apart. That's why I'd take Manning over Brady.

Brady's arm is average at best. He's accurate but far form having a cannon.

Dumbest comment in this thread.

You honestly think that Brady has an above average arm in terms of power? He's off the charts accurate but come on he doesn't have a cannon

I stand by my statement, dumbest comment in this thread.

Brady definitely has one of the strongest arms in the league. Both Jawarski and Gruden made comments Monday that they think he throws one of the best deep balls in the NFL.

Both strong and more importantly accurate. Just ask Jamarcus what good an inaccurate cannon does :)

The Brady not having a strong arm is a little out there........in fact, one of the best weapons in their offense is Brady being able to strongly throw the ball downfield so Randy Moss can run and catch it.....accuracy be damned, he just needs to get it close.....

Still though, this is a pretty "flip a coin" argument. Overall QB skills, I would rather have Manning. Overall for 1 game, I would rather have Manning.....however 3 Super Bowl Rings in a career span (could be even more), Brady is no slouch of a QB.

To the comment on Defense winning championships...of course it does, no team that has won a super bowl has had a bad defense...just doesnt happen. But a team must also have a good offense. I will use the Chicago Bears as an example..great defense, atrocious offense which equals no Super Bowls..

Yeah but that D sure did carry them far. Didn't they win that game when Grossman had the passer rating of something like 2?

There were plenty of times that the Bears D won games for them....and countless times when the 9 Headed QB monster rotation they used since the 85 Team had passer ratings of 2.....but they never won a Super Bowl title from it....bottom line, a great defense and great offense can only get you so far...you gotta have both to win.

I would pick Peyton Manning because of his ability to read defenses. I enjoy watching him move his offense around based on the defense that is out there.

Brady is no slouch though, but I don't think he has the same knowledge of the game that Peyton has. If he wasn't on the Patriots, then I don't think he would have flourished.
