Todays photo of the day features the Minnesota Twins great Jim Kaat (nicknamed Kitty) pitching against the White Sox hitter, Pete Ward.

I love the composition of this photo as it shows the state of the art (for it's time) Comisky Park scoreboard which would actually send fireworks screaming into the sky when any Sox player would hit a home run. Having been at old Comisky Park for a good number of games let me tell you seeing the exploding scoreboard was a highlight for me. Many years that was the only thing to really cheer about!!

Thats really cool especially for a Sox fan that I am. I don't believe I have seen the score board like that without the pinwheels on top.

Believe me I have tried. This is the original size I had received the file as and when I try to blow it up it degrades the image. I am not a tech guy so if someone wants to give it a try then by all means please go for it. I agree with you....I want a large size photo of this shot.
