Today's photo of the day is a candid shot of Roger Maris sitting in the dugout at Comisky Park in 1961 when the Yankees came to visit the White Sox during the legendary 1961 season. I love the look of this photo because, not only is it in color and very vibrant but the look on Roger Maris' face is priceless. I really wonder what was going through his mind when this picture was take.

Enjoy today's photo of the day!!

The other day, one of the local anchor man (KOMO-Dan Lewis) posted on FB a picture of him when he was a ball boy with Chicago. It's with him and Roger Maris..

EDIT: Found it..

OK, here is the caption and the picture..

Hi. Here's a "Throwback Thursday" picture of Yankee slugger Roger Maris and me from 1963. I was a batboy for the Chicago White Sox that year and got to go on a road trip to Yankee Stadium and Fenway Park. I think Maris is showing me where he hit one of his record 61 homeruns in 1961. What a fun summer and what a lucky kid I was!
