Topps needs to stop recycling names. How many baseball products - including inserts and parallels - have a 'Platinum' association?

Fleer Platinum, Ultra Platinum Medallion, Topps Platinum, Topps Unique Platinum, Totally Certified Platinum, Platinum Portraits, Topps Platinum Refractor, Pacific Platinum Blue, Leaf Limited Platinum, Metal Platinum, Preferred Platinum....maybe a dozen or so more.

Searching for any of this stuff on the 'bay requires a degree in information management or library science.

Yeah, and the ironic thing is that most products with "Platinum" in the product name are worth about as much as a pound of lead.

I have thought the same amount about the singles I'll be buying and have set money aside accordingly but minimal wax cracking... probably limit that to a few packs at the cardboard crack depot.
