Hi my name is Anthony, and I am a huge Mark McGwire collector, I currently just got my 2,000 different McGwire in the mail today! I have over 6,000 total McGwire's, 2,000 different, 137 limited cards, 63 refractors, and 21 Game-used cards. Been looking on this website for a while, and its cool to see the other people who super collect on here, so I decided to become a member.

I thought after I secured my 1996 Mirror Gold, I would slow down. I did, for a few days. :D
After an unbelievably HUGE summer, I currently sit a handful away from 4,500 different Gwynns...

Consider yourself lucky... That is, until you get em all and then wont have anymore to look for. Does Cam have many 1/1's?

My guy has just under 2000 unique cards by my count, so with the 1/1's and other high-priced stuff I have no expectation if getting anywhere near 100%. I'm currently at 1155 so I think 1500 is acheivable. My overall goal is 80%, which would be around 1575 cards.

If I do ever reach that goal I'll probably turn my focus to getting cards graded and upgrading lower grade cards to BGS 9+.

Awesome accomplishments guys! Im down to about 44 non 1/1 needs but some of them are major toughies. My guy is also in the only-has-about-1000 cards available camp so my collection also does not have enough at-bats to qualify for the batting (or 1500 club) title

I always enjoy reading this thread. I am currently just shy of 1,200 different Adam Dunn cards. Hoping to cross the 1,500 threshold next year.

Hey I hadn't seen this thread for awhile.
Congrats to all who are making strides in their collections.
4500 is a Big # for Gwynn collector- Congrats!

Congrats to both of you for passing 4500 and 7000 - that's amazing!

The fact that I only have a fraction of those cards to chase makes the collector in me sad.

The fact that I only have a fraction of those cards to chase makes my bank account and my marriage happy.

Just passed 2,100 McGwire's with my mail day today, and I am up to 2,150 different McGwire's. 6,157 total, with 182 limited cards, 81 refractors, and 26 game-used. I put a bunch of pictures of my favorite McGwire's that i have in the Mark McGwire Collector's Thread if anyone is interested in looking at them.

If you consider Moments and Milestones cards "unique" I am closing in on probably 1,000 different Jim Thome cards. Can't wait to get a list going and see where my exact total is.

Thanks to a large group of Teks, quite a few Ebay purchases, and Cyber Monday COMC purchase (two orders, why? I don't know), I have updated my signature (which I never did last time when I hit 4500.

I'm nearing 2,200 here soon... never thought I'd cross 2,000 but it gets harder and harder to cross significant marks once you're nearly at 85% of all cards outstanding like myself.

Really cool thread again, we have some impressive collections on here.
