Players' Choice Award winners announced

Hundreds of MLB players voted who they thought were the best players this season and the MLB Network announced the winners tonight.

AL Hitter: Miguel Cabrera
NL Hitter: Andrew McCutchen

AL Pitcher: Max Scherzer
NL Pitcher: Clayton Kershaw

AL Rookie: Wil Myers
NL Rookie: Jose Fernandez

AL Comeback Player: Mariano Rivera
NL Comeback Player: Francisco Liriano

Marvin Miller Man of the Year (on and off the field): Mariano Rivera

MLB Player of the Year: Miguel Cabrera

Solid choices. Hard to argue with those.

Well..now that I typed that, I realize some will say Yadier or Goldy for the NL Hitter. And, they would also be good choices. But "McCutchen's season was highlighted by his becoming only the fourth center fielder in history to post a second consecutive season with a line of .300/.400/.500 or better, as he batted .317 with an on-base percentage of .404 and a slugging percentage of .508." You could argue for any of them, but Cutch is a good pick.
