To inspire more confidence in the way the prizes are handled, Tom Murry has agreed to track/distribute all donated cards to the winners. Please contact him directly to arrange this.

We're still about 7 weeks away, but I wanted to give enough time for as many folks to enter as possible.

All prizes will be donated by FCB members.

We'll need at least 15 players to make this work (one for each of the 12 individual "bingo" prizes, plus at least 3 for the grand prize).

As always, I will gladly answer any questions/concerns. Thanks!

HOW TO ENTER

1. In order to play, a contestant must be willing to donate a $10-20 SV (sell value) pack certified autographed card. Again, please contact Tom Murry to discuss the shipping of your donated card.

2. You will receive your bingo cards once Tom has confirmed that he has received your donated card.

DEADLINE

None.

Since the cards are 100% randomly generated, there is no advantage or disadvantage as to when you enter. You can even enter after the playoffs have started!

However, if you wait too long to enter, many/most of the prizes might already be claimed.

LAYOUT

1. Each contestant will receive 2 bingo cards, each played separately

2. Each card includes 2 free spaces

3. Each space features a random boxscore scenario for a specific game or games in the playoffs. Since the playoffs are shorter than the regular season, there is a much wider spread of scenarios.

4. Each column represents a different round of the playoffs (AL/NL Wild Card, ALCS/NLCS, World Series)

5. If any of your spaces is an exact match to the actual boxscore outcome from ESPN/MLB.com, you cross off that space.

6. Since each scenario refers to specific games, there is no need to verify them with the date.

HOW TO WIN

The first person to call any of the following "bingos" will be able to select one card from the list of committed/donated entries:

1. Any complete column
2. Any complete row
3. Any diagonal line
4. Postage Stamp (any 4 space box)
5. Large Postage Stamp (any 9 space box)
6. "X" Marks the Spot: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v192/cjedmonton/xmarks.jpg
7. Four Corners: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v192/cjedmonton/fourcorners.jpg
8. Small Picture Frame: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v192/cjedmonton/smframe.jpg
9: Large Picture Frame: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v192/ ... gframe.jpg
10. "Pyramid": http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v192/cjedmonton/pyramid.jpg
11. "Cross": http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v192/cjedmonton/cross.jpg
12. "Diamond": http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v192/cjedmonton/diamond.jpg

For the sake of transparency, all donated cards and their generous owners are listed below.

GRAND PRIZE

Then we have the "The Full Monty". Since it will be virtually impossible for anyone to cross off all 25 squares on a single card, the person with the fullest card at the end of the playoffs will win all remaining items in the prize pool.

If there is a tie, the remaining cards will be split evenly by each co-winner taking turns choosing which cards they would like. The order of selection will be sorted from the highest to lowest post count.

SAMPLE

Most of the spaces are self-explanatory, but some have a (P) or (B). This indicates that it is either a pitching or batting scenario.

PRIZE LIST

1. Nolan Reimold Topps Chrome auto /499 (GoldenBuckeyes)

Im in again! ;) I will get the card info ASAP.

I would think about having everyone ship the cards first! I can see problems down the line (people playing, then not paying when they lose). I would refer to Dom's birthday thread for past headaches. Just a thought.

Thanks for playing! This should be another fun game with lots of new scenarios/chances to win.

My very first hunch was to ask everyone to submit their cards ahead of time. However, I did not want to burden the person trusted to hold/distribute them all. This way really seems to streamline the whole shipping process.

Of course, the major drawback is dealing with some less than honorable members who don't ship their card to the winner.

I'd hate to discriminate againt any member, but should we have a minimum post count or tenure as a member to participate?

Any other interest in this game? I know the playoffs are still a few weeks away (okay, more than a few), but I'd like to get a jump on coordinating the prizes, if possible.

This could be a lot of fun if we get enough folks to participate.

Not even close, I'm afraid. A few possible reasons:

1. Too early

2. Flawed prize format
- folks don't want to commit a card to play (free is always better)
- folks are concerned that others won't honor their commitment to send their card when it's selected.

3. Bingo burnout (although previous winners would probably disagree)

Anyway, if we don't get at least 15 to commit a card by mid-Sept, we'll scrap it.

This post will serve as a last call of sorts.

Please see the OP for a change to the way the prizes are handled.

Tom Murry has offered to track/distribute all donated prizes. Please contact him to discuss.

In short, this means that contestants will have to physically mail their donated card to Tom, who will then promptly mail the cards to the winners.

Also, for the sake of fairness to everyone, please maintain a strict SV (sell value) of $10-20 for your donated card.

Thanks again. Let's have some fun with this!

Im going to ask that everyone mail me their card before they get their game card. My reciept of your prize donation will give you access to your game card. I will mail out everyone's prizes at the end in the event someone wins more than 1 prize. I will also be posting the prizes received but not who donated what as it doesnt matter and there will be no need to compare what each person sent.

If you want me to post what you sent, I will, but my plan is to denote who contacted me and then mark when their card arrives.
Thanks
Tom
