If you want to boast on card autos then do it all, not just when it saves money. Look at the huge fleer greats
set of 2000 and 2001. If they can do it anyone can do it....and remember pack prices were 5 bucks also!

This is just not true.
Many celebrities we meet will only do deals if they can sign all signatures in one sitting. With our print runs being moderately sized, those signatures may be spread out over 4 releases. There is no way every card is already printed at that time. In addition, in some cases cards that are lost are virtually irreplaceable meaning we are risking the name on the checklist.
Sometimes, you are right, it is due to laziness. But, in this market, collectors want everything: SHORT PRINT RUNS, INCREDIBLE CHECKLISTS, NO REDEMPTIONS, ON CARD AUTOS. Without stickers, many names would not appear on autograph cards. In my case, it absolutely isnt laziness. My track record indicates such.

p.s.- In 2000, collectors were happy with 1 auto per box at $75-100. Today, collectors want 2-8 autos at the same price point. Also, with low production runs, manufacturers cannot achieve any economies of scale, meaning cost savings do have to come from somewhere.
