Ok, I think I'm gonna move on as suggested... Obviously Beckett had second thoughts about the inclusion of such a statement, since they removed it almost immediately.
That's enough for me.

Why is it that when Beckett gave you a forum to basically show-off that you bought the Strasburg to promote your product, and video for the whole net to see you personally hand the seller the check and pat yourself on the back, it was perfectly fine?
Yet now that it is revealed that your offer, as well as countless others apparently, for another card that you were going to include was seen as low by the seller, it is badmouthing.
Would we have gotten to see another check presentation for the Harper if you had gotten it for your price?
I was fully prepared to vote on the offer based on the poll and your initial post here. Then after about a dozen perfectly relevant responses by members, your next post referenced the article that wasn't even previously mentioned by anyone.
As usual, this was just another attempt at an ulterior agenda.
I had no clue about that article until you posted about it, then went and saw the other topic where the article was posted. It does in-fact say low and not low-ball, which in this hobby/business are different things. Unless the copied article by the member who posted it was altered. Now that Beckett has so conveniently removed that text, that is all that I can go by.
Putting yourself out in the business to promote your product does leave you open to these kinds of articles.
I guess it's great when your products are doing well to want to show them off, then whenever there is a backlash about something to try and sweep it under the rug or try and explain it away.
The more I see from your posts on here, the more I dislike your business practices. During the approach of the RRR release, your posts were all happy and smiles, willing to debate things and discuss just about anything and everything freely and openly. Now that you have sold out and moved on, you've been bashing anyone and everyone who questions your overstated prices on the cards from it. Now this backhanded attempt at vindication because you didn't get the card and your price was called low, just like all the other "normal" collectors that offered on it. Can't wait til your next release when we can hear from the nice and jubilant Brian trying to promote his products for about a month or so.
. --- He was calling me out. The above has NO other explanation. Its his right to say whatever he wants. Doesnt make it the classy way to handle it though? Ill take the high road and let this go.“I am relieved at selling the card,” he said. “It took three months of non-stop low offers from almost everybody, including Brian Gray from the Razor company, who only offered $6,750 and said I wouldn’t get over $8,000 for this card

Dwright, I will attempt to address the above:
2> You say that I used beckett to promote the strasburg, which I did. However, you did not see me BASH or attack others who unsuccessfully tried to buy it (never mind naming losing bidders and insulting their hard earned cash offers).
3> My posts have generally been of a very positive tone for quite a long time. The ONLY questionable toned replies were in response to a member with whom I had an escalated disagreement. The RRR value posts were merely correcting errant reports of value. I am sorry, Dwright, that I refuse to let people bash a product using incorrect information. If you want to bash it based on my completely accurate claim that low end cases return $550-650, thats fine. But, to put down fellow members breaks saying cards are worth $100-200, when they are $750+ is not fair and I feel I owe it to my customers to share the truth.
4> I assumed it was obvious what the poll was in reference to, as just 2 posts below there was a header called "Harper Super sells for $12,500!"....
My bad, Ill make sure to be extra clear and not leave any confusion why I ask a question here if I do. Nothing backhanded here, everyone else seemed understand my reason for asking.
Dwright, Thanks for taking the time to reply in this thread.
Hopefully, youll ask around and find out that I HAVE been (and continue to be) very different on these boards now, than in the past.
Thanks for the replies guys.
By looking at the poll above, my question has been answered to my great satisfaction.
There's nothing else to see here, I guess. BG

Cover of SI isn't necessarily a good thing, it might be a curse -

To a casual fan/investor with deep pockets it can definitely drive up the price even though it's pure hype.
