I know there are a lot of collectors that can care less about the actual number of their serial number cards. I am that guy who hunts for first in the run, last of the run and my favorite is numbered to the players jersey number. If you have any please share. I am only posting this to share pics and stories not to debate collectors habits. I will start this off with this one:
i the early 2000s I used to PSA grade all my player uniformed cards but I couldn't keep up with the product so I stopped.

Finding a card with a significant serial # from a run as large as this (5000) is very impressive. Kind of makes me want to dig through some 90's cards and see if I can't find something interesting.

My favorite jersey number... Partly because I had to wait over a year for the redemption, 08/10

And of course, my favorite first number, specifically 001/001 ;)

I think Ikon was a grade-at-home "business" where someone formulated their own slabs, graded their own cards, and sold them for huge profits at a time when anything in a plastic case with a 10 on it was worth 10x book value.

Great stuff!

I also love the jersey #'d cards, and have about 80 Vizquel cards that are 13/***. I'll try to update w/ pics of a few favorites.
