"poster boys" in this hobby?

He wasn't THE guy in 2001 though.

He never said Pujols was prospected. He said he's the REASON people prospect today - and he's right. Many buy in hopes of cashing in later down the road for a Albert Pujols type profit. That led to prospectors just playing a stock market type game with many prospects to maximize their chance of making money.

And people still bought his 2001 stuff in 2001 and made a killing 2-3 years later.

Again, I'm just saying he wasn't a prospect 2-3 years later and was already in the MLB the year his first cards were issued.

If released today, the Pujols RC would have a RC logo; this card proves cards showing real, non-photoshopped major league players can fetch ~$3K... I don't think people consider investing in these RCs to be prospecting.

Franco was born 8 years before Alou and played until 2007 while Alou played until 2008. The difference is Franco made his debut in 1982 vs. 1990 for Alou.
