PSA/DNA vs Spence / Nice Ruth Piece

I would never buy anything "authenticated" by spence.

I have seen tons of stuff get passed by PSA/DNA that is clearly not legit(lots of clubhouse Hank Aaron are passed). I have seen less of this happen with JSA. I trust JSA much much more than PSA

That's a small microcosm to base your opinion on though; especially considering PSA does much greater volume than Spence. I trust both companies and don't trust both companies equally. However, in terms of vintage signatures and resale...I'd go PSA every time if I planned to sell the item.

It's been read and gone. Nothing.
Guess it WAS too good to be true.

This is the first time I've seen this post and the only thing I can say is, I hope that auto is done in pencil, since silver sharpies weren't around back in that era....tough to see from the scan of what the auto was done in...

I spoke to him about the choice of PSA/JSA and to keep me posted. He said he would!
PM'd him again asking for an update, PM read and no response. Figured he was too busy to give details.
Figured I try again......

Sorry guys that were following this, I haven't been here much. I sent the pennant to JSA, and it came back as bogus. It was a pencil sig, not a silver sharpie. All part of the business, that's the way it goes. Even the dealers take a beating every once in awhile. I was pretty sure I had a good piece with this one. On to the next treasure lol.

Yep, sorry once again for the delay. Maybe I'll throw it up on Ebay with the Spence letter & try to recoup a few bucks.
